“We’ve been coming to Herman’s for 35 years and feel endlessly fortunate to have had access to such high quality meats for our family all these years. It’s more than a store. It’s an institution, and a part of the community. With so many absentee landlords and generic, big box shopping experiences, it’s great to still have such a unique and personal option, where the quality is assured by the owner and staff. Once you purchase their excellent meats, local, grass-fed, antibiotic-free and hormone-free meats and poultry here, it will be difficult to go back to any other store. Thank you for being here, Herman’s!”
“Excellent produce selection and prices. They have a nice variety of foods from India, Turkey, Mexico, China and more. My only complaint is that it could be better organized and you do need to check expiration dates. Overall, I think it's a great market with some odds/ ends items like small home and kitchen items. I left off one star for organization and cleaning..”
“Just as I remember when I was a kid. The kielbasa and smoked kielbasa are top notch. I bought the horseradish today, and this is way better than anything you can get at a grocery store!”
“This was my first time trying this spot out and it was an amazing experience. The owner Bill has some of the best customer service I have ever had. I wasn’t sure what I wanted but he was so patient and explained everything. The prices are great and the size of the sandwich’s are phenomenal. I will definitely be back to this hidden gem. “It's a easy convenience in a great location for a neighborhood shopping Supermarket prices of borderline but you don't have to run around and all in the traffic especially with the weather's bad if you taking the bus if you don't have a car that's a perfect place I like the Shelf Market but not so much to meet but everything else was all right but a little pricey but it had everything I needed so that's what's good what I tell you to shop there sure save some time take a couple of blocks in a few minutes and you're good thank you Johnny's Market is a new owner I went there because of the Old owner had a large selection of meats and I miss that special that smoked sliced turkey bacon well thank you very much for listening and reading my reviews have a good day”

“10 stars. Excellent place for beef and everything else. They cut me some beautiful porterhouses and new York strips. Super helpful and very pleasant people working there. This will now be my go-to for butcher shop for steaks when I run out of the local 1/4s or 1/2 cows I usually buy.”
