“I’ve worked in the automotive/service industry so I know a good thing when I see it. I called for a price, told them I could come right in. The quickest service I’ve ever had getting tires and it was a decent price. I initially was going to buy some used tires but the price was really good. My service writer Chris mentioned they do an overall check on brakes, suspension, etc. They informed me the front pads were a little low and he mentioned they could offer that service. I declined but it was nice they mentioned it and he wasn’t pushy, just looking out for the customer. I would definitely recommend this establishment. I realize my short wait time probably isn’t common due to obvious fluctuations in customer flow but it was nice to win the lottery for quickest service in my personal experience and past professional experience. Good job guys!”
“My husband & I are truck drivers and were running 2 separate trucks up Rt. 1 when I blew an inside rear trailer tire. I took the next exit and headed south on rt. 13 toward the rest area to figure out what to do. I found Mike's Tire Repair online and incidentally, it was less than a mile away. I was able to limp it there, unfortunately, they didn't have the size tire I needed. The nice young man that helped me, who was very polite, knowledgeable and efficient took it upon himself to call around and found a tire 40 miles away. He went above and beyond the call of duty by going and getting this tire for me!! And got it on promptly so I could get back on the road. Thank you, Guys for saving the day! Will definitely keep this local family business in mind for any future tire needs!”

“I got overconfident in my garage and tried to replace some calipers & hoses. A few stripped and cross-threaded bolts later, I had a real mess on my hands. Mark at Doug's Auto really helped me out of a jam and got me back on the road within a day and a half very affordably. He had the chance to upsell me by insisting on replacing x,y and z, but he opted to just simply fix my mistake like I asked.Great shop - they're few and far between these days with all the corporate outfits out there. “I don't know where to start with this review. My fiancé has been going to Melvin's for his vehicle for a few years. I live in Philadelphia and drive a 2015 Altima. Unfortunately for a year, my car was parked in front of my home, just un-driveable. I went to 4 different Nissan Dealerships and no one could tell me why my car would randomly lose power and stop running. I gave up until my fiancé suggested to take the car to Melvin's. We risked it by driving up from Philadelphia to Dover. It died on the way up once, we gave it a few minutes, and then it started to drive again. Then we made it to Melvin's! Jose suggested to use our vehicle to run errands to see exactly what was causing the power loss. No other mechanic has ever offered to do such a thing. I have never encountered such care and attention from a mechanic. He figured out! It was the alternator! I am forever grateful to this shop for getting my car to run again. Great customer service and attention to your needs. Please don't hesitate to bring your vehicle to Melvin's!”

It took a little while to get the kinks out but Tom ended up getting me taken care of at no additional charge to me. He even threw in a full tank of gas.
