Our tour guide Matt was phenomenal, so full of knowledge! We learned a lot, great experience.

Allison was a fantastic tour guide. It was informative and not boring. Came in on a Saturday in March at 3. The hour went so quickly. I don't typically like museums but I did like this visit.
Built in 1732, the New Castle Court House served as Delaware’s first court and state capitol. Here in 1776, New Castle, Kent and Sussex counties declared their independence from Pennsylvania and England creating the Delaware State. The building served as the General Assembly until 1777 and the Courts until 1881. We offer free, guided tours to the public and you can reserve a tour for special groups and schools.
