What I love about this place is that it’s no-frills, just straight-up efficient. The staff don’t waste your time, the shelves are stocked with all the classics (and a few surprises), and the pricing is clearly done by someone who respects working-class taste. If you’re into budget-conscious beer runs without sacrificing quality, this place gets it.

“Small tucked away liquor stores sometimes have hard to find bourbons, whiskeys, ryes and scotches that you can't find anywhere else. I almost missed the premium shelf, which was behind the counter until the clerk asked if I was looking for anything in particular. Up top were some of the hard to find bourbons that I can't seem to come across back home. I was able to score a nice bottle of Eagle Rare today. The price was a little high though but, that seems to be the case with many of the brands nowadays with the renewed interest in American bourbons and whiskeys. So, if your the frat boy college kid picking up two gallons of cheap vodka along with a case or two of Bud Light, this place is for you. If your the middle aged fella scouring town looking for a hard to come by bottle bourbon, this place is also for you. Cheers!”

“This is perhaps my favorite liquor store. Not only do they sell the hard, strong Hurricane beer with its extra oz for a double size can, they also keep the refrigerator extra cold so when I get home, I only need to put the beer in the freezer for a small amount of time so it is cold enough for my tastes.”

She never said hello when I got to the counter to pay for my product. She took the money after ringing up my purchase and then said thank you. “I totally trust this place; they're pleasant to deal with and have unique liquors that I can't find anywhere else (in Delaware). I lost my wallet last year and had to retrace my steps. Store is clean, well lit, easy to browse, has affordable products, and offers a wide selection for those seeking a tasting adventure. Plenty of other grocery items to compliment from limes to sodas and snacks. I can always get the help when needed and occasionally ask for recommendations for a dinner pairing. It's easy to strike up conversation even with other customers (like an episode of Cheers). A sample station is set up now & then to explore new products which is always hosted by a welcoming representative.”
“Very, very clean for a liquor store. I have no problems with this place other than the selection of drinks leaves me wanting a little more. There's a dollar beer section which is nice but (shocker) is full of beers that have been expired for the greater part of a year. The man who runs it is kind and has a sense of humor.”
“Exceeded my expectations. They have a pretty nice selection and most of it was a huge savings over anything I'm used to buying. Jameson was a big savings, although I'm told Kirkland whiskey is great and even cheaper. All the Kirkland wine and Prosecco we bought was great and ridiculously cheap. Even picked up a German beer advent calendar I'm excited for. Some of the beer is at cost, most of the local stuff, but the cases of Sam Adams was a pretty big savings. Beer selection isn't huge though. But can't go wrong here.”

The owner is extremely friendly, prices seem fair to me but I’m not always looking around for deals.I see other reviewers complaining about the owner having a gun on hip. If you had shady customers coming into your store I’m sure you’d want to protect yourself as well.”

“It was Christmas Eve and mist Liquor stores were closed, I needed a particular run I was unfamiliar with , already been to the only two liquor store res in Elkton. A road detour sent me to Rt 896. The store was open and the staff friendly and made recommendations and had the rum I was looking for.I bought it and some beer for me. They said they stay open on holidays, I can recommend this liquor store anytime. Saved me from not having a Christmas present.”

“Dean was fantastic! He went out of his way and found me a bottle of a rare wine (Faust Cabernet Sauvignon). He also recommended a unique 50th anniversary wine. Then, he gave me a great price on both!
When I arrived to pick up my order, Michelle was very sweet, and made the bag look more festive, as it was a gift.
When I presented these wines as a gift to my parents, they were shocked and amazed and thrilled!
