Whoever owns this location doesn’t do a good job maintaining it. Machines break and stay broken for months at a time. It gets progressively worse. It’s an ok gym if saving money is your only priority.I’ve shared my concerns with corporate and never heard back.

Workers turned the heat on on a rainy day. This place is about 95 degrees right now with 85% humidity inside. The floors and machines all have condensation on them and the whole place smells like urine. Possibly the grossest planet fitness I have ever been in.Edit***So I went to another planet fitness in the area today trying to avoid the conditions of this first location only to find the same thing (notice the sauna like condensation on all the windows in the images below). In response to the managers comments I went and spoke to a worker in that location and asked why it was 95 degrees with 90% humidity. The worker replied “because corporate would rather sacrifice a child than let anyone touch the thermostat”. Apparently, the employees are not allowed to do anything about this issue, and planet fitnesses in Delaware and Maryland have a policy that the workers are unable to turn the AC on regardless of the conditions of the club. The worker went on to tell me that they had several medical alerts over the last month as patrons were overcome by the heat and needed transport to the hospital. Which suggests that planet fitness's decision to let this go on is actually harming people’s health. So thanks for the reply manager person, but it would appear to all be hollow words. You need to make it policy that if the humidity at your clubs goes up, no matter the season, the workers will engage the AC to cool the club down. Not doing so is not only gross, but it’s negligent and could potentially kill someone just trying to stay healthy. I am puzzled why I should even have to write this. For what I pay for a black card every month the least you could do is protect me from getting heat stroke and dying in your facilities.

Multiple machines down, to the point they stopped putting signs on them, hydro massage always down. One treadmill litterally has all the wiring out for over a month. But the worst issue is ,the gym will be packed, you will wait over an hour to get on a machine especially in the 1 hour section, because people will play on there phones for 30 minutes, do a rep and go back to there phones. Customers shouldn't have to tell people to use it or loose it.

This gym is wonderful however with all due respect I waited at the gym on October 1, 2023, for about an hour and half for them to open since it was supposed to be open at 7 am today, however no one opened. Please let us know before hand if situations like this arise

Staff here is great, that’s the only thing saving this review from being 1 star because the ownership is SOOO cheap. Equipment broken for weeks, even months on end. I would be embarrassed to have a business that is this cheap.

I've been to almost 2 dozen Planet Fitness facilities from Tulsa Ok to Newark DE. Newark is by far the worst gym I've seen so far. Dust is everywhere while employees are scanning through their phones. Broken equipment is out of control and I was utterly disgusted. Definitely coming up during the next share holders meeting.

Just try and cancel your membership. It cannot be done because they do not answer the phone for you to do so. My daughter graduated and has been trying for a month to cancel. We're sending a letter today by mail. Ridiculous.

This is a hall where there is no normal lighting, where there is a terrible smell, where a lot of furniture is damaged, it needs to be repaired, where there is dirt in the bathroom and the hall, and in general, someone pays attention to this hall, it is a disaster.

I would not recommend. I walked in canceled my membership on April 15th, was given cancellation document by email that said last day to use club is 4-16-2023 but was still charged. Refunded by my bank, only for club to turn around and charge me in May for same payment. When I asked to be refunded was told billing starts 10th of every month. So it was to late to stop, but manager can refund. I asked to speak to manager was told she would call in 2 weeks. Never heard from her, called again. Was told she will call, never called. I'm no longer interested in using club and would like a refund. Not a good experience in customer service. I would not recommend this club. You cant not just take advantage of your customers like that, charging membership fees after cutting off their club use. I will dispute with bank and report to Better Business Bureau.
