My wife and daughter and I stayed for 1 night on our way home from a softball tournament in July. A recent e-mail was a reminder that I never wrote a review! This B&B was simply perfect. Great location in a historic, quaint town; the Inn itself is gorgeous; the Innkeepers are amazing; and the breakfast was one of, if not THE, best I've had. Ever! We will stay here again for sure!

Let me start by saying- this is hands down the best place you could stay in the Tri state area around Delaware. The service was immaculate, and the breakfasts were so detailed and personable. Linda and Jeff were so awesome. Warm and inviting, and they just are all around great people. The house was so clean, and every amenity was available. Each room has its own AC and Heater, and full bath. We opted for a personal dinner our last night there, and we should have done dinner every night there. The food was phenomenal, and sooooooooo delicious. I was sad we had to head home, but we will definitely be back. We found a new place for our yearly tradition. ?Rooms: Each room is full equipped with all amenities, and the beds are so comfortable.Nearby activities: The local tavern and home tours are within a seriously short walking distance from the B&BWalkability: Such a beautiful area to walk- a must do on your trip.Food & drinks: The inn-keepers made the BEST food. Do not miss out.

We couldn't have found a better place to celebrate our 54th wedding anniversary. Our private balcony overlooked a peaceful garden. Delicious coffee was available at 7 a.m. Native birds entertained us while we had breakfast in the sun room, feasting on granola/yogurt/berry parfait, fluffy pancakes topped with bananas Foster and sausage. Jeff and Linda were friendly and welcoming along with their puppy Avalon. Their spacious grounds had inviting garden paths with many flowers in bloom. We plan to return soon.

Hubby booked a 4 night stay for us at this lovely colonial Bed & Breakfast in Odessa, DE. We had been traveling cross country from Las Vegas and he wanted to show me his childhood hometown of nearby Middletown. This is not a hotel were travelers just book a room in a large chain-hotel, this is an off the beaten path and an actual HOME on a small street with no sidewalks. I was struck on how warm and homey this place felt and how welcoming the Innkeepers (Jeff and Linda) were. We were even greeted by the newest Miller-Dunham resident, Avalon "Avi", a 6-month golden retriever who Jeff and Linda just adopted days before. We were shown to our room (The Commander which was clean, tidy and spotless with a beautifully spacious bathroom) and then showed the rest of the house and the beautiful backyard. If stepping out of reality for a weekend and into a quaint, peaceful and relaxing environment - this place is your bet! Evening was an enjoyable time to relax out in the backyard, especially when at dusk the firefly's start their evening lighting dances. The overhead strings of lights added a warmth, just making the place even more charming. Retiring for the night was easy, as the bedroom and bathroom gave hubby and I plenty of room to maneuver. Then settling into that bed, oh my gosh, super comfortable!I completely enjoyed sipping my coffee outside in the early morning sunshine and listening to birds where I could collect my rambling thoughts before breakfast and live in the present, gratified at the quality sleep that I had. Breakfast was called out at 8:30 each morning.Jeff and Linda work very well as a team to prepare and present wonderful breakfasts each morning and Avi was sure to greet each of us with her good morning smiles and tail wags. A couple of the breakfast mornings, there were other guests in attendance and Jeff and Linda didn't miss a beat in tending to each of us with warm conversations and smiles. They even took the time to modify their pre-scheduled breakfast menu for those who had food issues. It was wonderful to come downstairs each morning to the smells of something delicious being prepared in the kitchen for us.One evening, hubby and I walked two blocks to another historical gem, the Cantwell Tavern. We were given a discount coupon at the house so we wanted to check out the menu. It was like stepping back into the Colonial times as you explored this building. This was my first bed and breakfast experience and I hope now that this won't be the last. How can you not fall in love with this secret little place? You feel like this is a little like home, even with the house pet greeting you every time you return back. I highly recommend this B&B experience at the Miller-Dunham house and cheers to Jeff and Linda for making us feel welcomed and even a little sad as we said our goodbyes.Glenn and SusanLas Vegas, NV

A wonderful stay for our anniversary! Beautifully decorated, pristine clean rooms, each one unique. The hosts are friendly without being intrusive. The breakfast is delicious- my gluten free option was great! Quiet night, comfy beds and pillows made a good night sleep. We stop here on our way to visit our kids.

Our second visit to this B&B was even more wonderful than the first time. This cozy place is set in its own little bird sanctuary which adds to its setting. Debi and Bob could not be more gracious and welcoming. The rooms are large and comfortable, the breakfast is incredible, and the home is beautiful. We can't wait to visit again.10 STARS

Wonderful stay in a very nice room with the most comfortable triangular soaking tub. Hosts were super nice and breakfast was good. Nice outdoor semi wooded area out behind, and private balcony off the room were nice touches to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather in February. 11/10, would stay again.

Bob and Debi are amazing people. They were very accommodating and the breakfast was amazing! Bob definitely takes his cooking seriously. It felt like we were going back home to visit the family. We will definitely be back, hopefully when it is a little warmer and we can enjoy the beautiful grounds of the property.

Wow, what an incredibly beautiful inn! This entire place has impeccable attention to detail and is meticulously clean. I can also say some of our best experiences here was sitting around and enjoying master chef level breakfasts. The breakfasts have a high-end level presentation with equal flavor to match. I can tell you from exploring many restaurants that it is incredibly rare to have both flavor and presentation match. So we were here for a friend’s wedding; however, as we are about to get married, this was the best get away I could ask for! I felt like I was staying with kind family who would assist with whatever we needed. Also, the town is such an incredibly wonderful escape; it’s like a small Williamsburg. The local tavern has a fabulous dinner selection and great staff and the historical houses in town are a great idea to explore. I would recommend this for a romantic weekend away to anyone

This B and B is one of the most lovely places I have stayed! The hosts were exceedingly gracious. Bob is a absolutely great cook-my breakfast was 2 poached eggs on a bed of fresh garden cucumbers, tomatoes and avocados and scallions and a side of fresh berries and peaches. Others had theirs on homemade English muffins. Debi is an immaculate hostess who caretakes the place - with rooms beautifully decorated, clean as a whistle. The grounds are amazing. There a long path through the acreage lined with raspberries bushes and we ate berries all along the walk- felt so relaxing and homey. Definitely planning on returning next summer to visit the area again. Oh yeah - I forgot to say - several doors up the street was a pickle ball/tennis court where we ladies played for couple hours before our tour of the area's historic homes! Great stay!
