“I experienced something truly amazing this week. My new car’s battery died. It was one month old. The car was taken to Rehoboth Auto Repair for diagnosis. It was truly dead and required replacement. I called the dealership only to discover that the car would have to be towed to them, where the process was quite complicated, with no guarantee that the battery would be replaced. I am elderly, with multiple disabilities. This proved to be beyond my capabilities, so I authorized the battery replacement at Rehoboth Auto Repair. It was a very expensive proprietary battery which would cost over $450. The folks at Rehoboth Auto Repair expressed their concern that I would have to spend this amount on a new car. At this point, the manager Mike King took it upon himself to personally call the Operations Manager of the dealership to express his dismay, stating that there was a better way to treat a valued new car owner; by replacing the faulty battery. Following the discussion, the dealership eventually agreed to provide the battery at no charge. When I arrived to pick up my car, I was told, “You are all set, and there will be no charge.”. WHAT?? Was I hearing correctly? Truly, Rehoboth Auto Repair charged me not one single cent, for managing this issue in addition to the diagnostics and replacement work. In this day and age, I consider this act, a small miracle. My expectations were so far exceeded. What an example of integrity, honestly, kindness, compassion. The treatment I received was not what one might expect. I was treated as if I were a family member. I will add that Nicole and other lovely folks there, proved to be exceedingly professional, communicative and efficient. Each did their part to create this modern day miracle!!
