The Boardwalk Plaza Hotel is a charming, Victorian-themed hotel located right on the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. Its large, pink building features classic Victorian decor throughout and offers a unique, historic atmosphere. Guests often enjoy interacting with the parrots in the lobby and relaxing in the Victorian-themed Queen Victoria restaurant, which provides a classy ambiance despite its overpriced and average-tasting food. The hotel also has a cozy Kinkel bar for adults, where visitors can play chess, order drinks and food, and enjoy homemade popcorn. Rooms are well-laid-out, though some find the mattresses a bit old and less comfortable for the price. Service is generally excellent, attentive, and caring, with staff members going above and beyond to meet guest needs. The hotel’s prime location near the beach allows easy access for visitors to come and go throughout the day. While there is no pool or hot tub, the "spa" area is available but limited in warmth, and rooftop hot tubs can be tricky to access due to key card issues. Guests appreciate the hotel’s walkable location, just far enough from the busy center of the boardwalk for a peaceful stay, yet close enough to explore everything. Many return year after year, highlighting the friendly staff, the beautiful decor, and the enjoyable outdoor breakfast on the boardwalk patio. The hotel’s attentive care and historical charm make it a favorite, with some guests recalling exceptional service during difficult times, demonstrating the staff’s dedication to creating memorable experiences. Overall, the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel offers a warm, inviting, and distinctive beachside stay.
My partner and I spent Easter dinner here and we absolutely loved it. The food was incredible and we felt right at home with the service and ambiance. We looked around the lobby afterwards and it was like we were thrown back in time. Truly a fabulous location and we will be back.

Slow(1) elevator in main lobby. Another (1) at far end by bar and ballroom a little faster.
