DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Wilmington offers a mixed experience for guests. The hotel is generally clean and well-maintained, with friendly staff who go the extra mile, such as providing warm chocolate chip cookies upon check-in. The location is convenient, with nearby shopping and dining options. However, the hotel faces some challenges. Many rooms are reported to be outdated, with issues like poor temperature control, uncomfortable pillows, and subpar maintenance. The hotel's internet and television services have also encountered problems at times. Additionally, the broken elevator has caused significant inconvenience, leading to long waits and the need for guests to carry their luggage up several flights of stairs. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel seems to provide an acceptable stay for a single night, especially given its proximity to local attractions. Guests appreciate the cleanliness of the rooms and the friendliness of the staff, though they acknowledge that the overall experience may not be up to the typical Hilton standard.
Terry was so helpful and an amazing front desk staff. He took time out of his busy day to assist me. I am so grateful for his kindness and generosity. Highly recommend, he was professional and kind.

We attended the mineral gem and Fossil event. Lots of great specimens, things to purchase and some really neat shark teeth. Check it out next year.
