It used to be a sulky horse race track. Then there was a Fun place connected to movie theater with a indoor gocart track video games food vendor all indoors until packs of kids were dropped off and were expected to be babysat by the primarily teen staff... Which led to the closing of the fun place ... Thanks lazy parents....

Fantastic pond with a great local opportunity to search for ducks that require deep water to dive in winter. From late October to early April, look for Hooded Mergansers, Ruddy Ducks, Ring-necked Ducks, Pied-billed Grebes, American Coots, and Buffleheads which all dive underwater for seconds at a time searching for food underwater. Other dabbling ducks like a pair of American Black Ducks and many Mallards frequent the pond while Northern Shovelers, Gadwall, and Northern Pintail are less abundant. Outside of the pond, look for Yellow-rumped Warblers in winter and nesting Eastern Kingbirds, Chipping Sparrows and Warbler Vireos in summer. Northern Mockingbirds and Belted Kingfishers come to the pond often year-round. A splendid opportunity to see exclusive species in an easy location!

The pond is fenced off but it provides a nice view and provides a nice short walk around the pond. There are exercise stations around but not all of them are operational. A little outdated, but it does its job for the ones that work. There is also a playground around the loop which makes a good pitstop for little kids going on the walk with you.You can park by the Tutor time of Wilmington on the west side of the pond. Plenty of parking spaces available.Playground: The pond loop playground is available. Not the most updated playground but it is a great pitstop for small kids on the walk around the pond.Dog-friendliness: Nice loop to take your dog on a walk
