Literally the worst grocery store in all of Delaware. Items are horribly expensive, it’s nearly impossible to find things because they always keep moving stuff, and the worst is that it’s IMPOSSIBLE to check out. Like self checkout is so horrible the machines won’t allow you to put a frickin bag down. If you don’t self checkout you are stuck behind a hundred people at the only cashier operated lane. THIS GIANT SUCKS SO HARD and it used to be really good with fair prices. Also, it seems like they switch up the inventory a lot because products you like will be gone in a few months. Godbless the poor workers who have to suffer through working at the self check out zone.

If I could give ZERO STARS I would. I stopped going to ACME because they were constantly messing up my curbside pickup orders (I can't walk without aid) and lying about things they claimed to be out of. The last time I went there my order which was scheduled for a certain was delayed with NO explanation and when I called to inquire I was told my the "customer service" person to SHUT UP AND LET HER SPEAK while I (the customer) was asking a question.
I switched to GIANT on Concord Pike - that is until today. I ordered 4 items early in the AM to pick up BY 2PM. I arrive at 2PM, call to say I AM HERE and guess what - order is NOT ready and I am told to "go home and come back - we'll call you when it's ready" - SERIOUSLY?? NO SORRY - I will not continue to shop at markets where my business is NOT valued.

They're all miserable. Not approachable, and when approached they get an attitude or like last time ignored my question and just stared at me. Never got my answer. Just shop at Wegmans 😂

Giant is one of the only grocery stores in Delaware that still provides free bags. The selection is what you can expect from a chain grocery store, with a few notable exceptions from local creators on the shelves such as handmade cold process soaps. Stays open pretty late compared to other grocery stores in this area.

Bought fish from their fish counter a few times and I've had multiple issues with salmon being bad the minute i open then when I get home. Some of the staff, looks like managers, are very condescending and rude. If you dont want to be there, don't be there.

Maybe don’t have a giant WELCOME sign over the employee’s only entrance that’s identical to but 200 feet from the customer entrance.
Otherwise, store is clean and well-stocked.

Its a good grocery store really, i like it way more than acme, but many of the employees are MISERABLE! At least the cashiers anyway. Especially some of the older ladies. They're very rude and disinterested. The younger cashiers seem a lot nicer.
I had a woman snap at me for asking if her register was still open, she was walking away from it but the light was still on. Turns out it was still open. I thought it was a pretty normal question lol. I just walked down and used a different check out lane.
Today my self check out lane was having issues, as always, the self checkout machines here are really annoying and finicky. You put a bag down and the whole thing freaks out and thinks its a product you didn't ring up. So that happened like it does literally every single time i self check out here, and eventually a woman came and helped me and i said thank you and she just seemed really irritated with me.

Worst grocery store in North Wilmington. Bad prices and sold me moldy bread in early September 2024. With so many grocery choices on Rt. 202 there is no reason to shop here.

rotisserie chickens got us sick; very undercooked. staff in deli openly coughs in their hands and then handles food. Cashiers are nasty and mean. I wont be going back.

Store is nice but employees are a problem. The deli ladies working 7/1/24 afternoon are the absolute slowest people in the store. A few folks gave up and walked away ... my husband included. I asked why the kiosk order from 30 minutes earlier hadn't been done. The deli worker said she had no idea because she just started at 3:00. This was at 4:08. Then the bagger tried putting my carton of eggs at the bottom of the bag, with lots of heavy stuff on top. I asked him to put the heavy things on the bottom. He looked perplexed as if I was the crazy one. I've been to many Giant stores in the area. This store is by far the worst. Will not return.

I would have to say that giant is my supermarket of choice in my neighborhood. There's a ShopRite almost directly across the street but was very unhappy with the service at that store. In terms of checkout they would have, I'll say eight self-checkouts open and one line with a cashier in it. And many of the items that were supposed to be on sale when I was checking out weren't coming up with the sale prices and that happened like three different occasions to myself. So I just made a promise not to shop there any longer. I've heard that they've since gotten more cashiers in the store, but they lost me as a customer when they couldn't make sure that the scanners came up with the same prices that were on the shelf !
