Hobby Shops in Wilmington, DE

“this is genuinely the best store ever. in the past 10+ years of browsing anime centered stores i have been subjected to shounen slop that i did not care for. i have never been so happy inside a store before. i almost threw up with joy seeing the identity v baskets, i have been playing for 6 years and im from new jersey so this was the first time that ive ever seen official merch. i havent even seen official merch at conventions! it was also so refreshing to see μ‘s merch again. this was so worth the drive and im so happy with my haul. cashier was super chill as well. i would come here 24/7 if i could and ill absolutely be returning.”

“Very reputable and honest. They gave me top dollar for silver and coins. Worked with Danny. Heck of a nice guy. Will definitely go back to them when I have a need again.”

“This is an outstanding store with a lot of character. Stores like Simpson's hobbies are very rare nowadays, and if you grew up with stores like these you will know exactly what I am talking about. The owner is near 100 years old and still working. He is a WW2 Navy vet with some pictures of his service and the stories behind them in the shop. The other gentleman who works there is a wealth of knowledge on all things hobby and history, and has a deep knowledge of all the products in the store. When you go to this store you get the kind of experience you just can't get at a big name store or online. If you are a parent with a child who likes models, RC, rockets, or other fun things like those rubber band driven planes, please take your kids here it is like a paradise for kids (and adults) interested in this stuff. For adults who maybe used to have a store like this growing up, this store will be an awesome trip down memory lane and you probably will not leave empty handed LOL. Highly recommend you support this awesome small business.”

“I purchased a new machine online. Picked it up in store. The associate was very friendly. We go home later in the evening so I didn’t get a chance to set it up until late the following day. After setting it up I noticed it was making a load noise. So I processed to use it thinking it was just something silly. Nope! The thread would bunch in the bobbin and the wheel not turn. I called the store & Erica whom later let me know she was the manger was so kind and took care of the situation right out. I’m so very grateful as I needed to finish a project for a client overnight. My husband took the machine back right away. She was professional very helpful and really I life saver. The new machine is working fine.”

“Really great experience. Walked in with my daughter (8 years old) who wanted to build her first Pokemon battle deck. Keith took care of her from start to finish, built a custom deck, explained how to use the cards, and other tips and tricks. He was knowledgable, but most importantly he never once looked annoyed, burdened, or dismissive of her, and was very friendly. The store itself was clean, well lit and busy with foot traffic. The rest of the staff and even customers were very polite and friendly, the whole shop had a very neighborhood feel. Highly recommend, and will absolutely be attending their events.”

“Looks like an awesome attic with lots of hidden gems, but good luck w/Dan letting you in the store. Call # on the door- you will have a pleasant + funny conversation when you try”

“Had some old family photos framed recently, and the experience was wonderful. The employee was patient while I chose the frame and matting, and the final product turned out flawless and beautiful. Excellent customer service from start to finish.”
