“The store is bought and clean, and the service was top notch....we were looking for two books in particular, and immediately we were able to find out if they were available in store, which they weren't so we ordered them to be delivered to our home.....the whole process took less than ten minutes, so we had time to browse around, which is the best part of visiting a book store.”
“This is an outstanding store with a lot of character. Stores like Simpson's hobbies are very rare nowadays, and if you grew up with stores like these you will know exactly what I am talking about. The owner is near 100 years old and still working. He is a WW2 Navy vet with some pictures of his service and the stories behind them in the shop. The other gentleman who works there is a wealth of knowledge on all things hobby and history, and has a deep knowledge of all the products in the store. When you go to this store you get the kind of experience you just can't get at a big name store or online. If you are a parent with a child who likes models, RC, rockets, or other fun things like those rubber band driven planes, please take your kids here it is like a paradise for kids (and adults) interested in this stuff. For adults who maybe used to have a store like this growing up, this store will be an awesome trip down memory lane and you probably will not leave empty handed LOL. Highly recommend you support this awesome small business.”
“Really great experience. Walked in with my daughter (8 years old) who wanted to build her first Pokemon battle deck. Keith took care of her from start to finish, built a custom deck, explained how to use the cards, and other tips and tricks. He was knowledgable, but most importantly he never once looked annoyed, burdened, or dismissive of her, and was very friendly. The store itself was clean, well lit and busy with foot traffic. The rest of the staff and even customers were very polite and friendly, the whole shop had a very neighborhood feel. Highly recommend, and will absolutely be attending their events.”
