Whatever you do, do not bank with this company. For this bank to be around for years they are unable to do plaid verification, they block you out of your account when you deposit a check from the IRS because they think its fraud. No care in the world for its members. When you ask to speak to a manager you have reps stating their not transferring you. I've been with this bank for 3 years only because of the 2 days early and I assumed having a credit union would be good but its been hell. Whatever you do try banking with another bank. You will regret it.

Do not do business with this credit union!!! They are not transparent and helpful as they claim to be. Last year we reported a financial hardship due to two hurricanes hitting our area back to back and at first it seemed like they had our best interest however they lie to us and did something different. They are better credit unions out there

Security gone mad. I have had this bank for many years. They were super slow and bureaucratic but provided low mortgage fees and rate so I put up with it. Now it has become impossible to access your money. They block Zelle transfers. Everything requires security checks- several times in a single transaction. And most of the times the security systems they have are too slow and zero in before they are done - and are timed out or unaccepted so you start again - and go through the same stupid attempts. Tried 7 types of security confirmation and still did not work through no fault of my own. It takes also for ever to figure out how to get to a human being on the phones now. I spent many hours over three days to try and unblock Zelle unsuccessfully - and to try and make a single wire within the US. IT gone mad. I am just in the process of withdrawing all my money. Not worth the waste of time and aggravation. There are many better options out there for banking.

Do not come here in a rush they are super slow and you’ll wait 10 business days for a debit card. Definitely won’t be a member much longer

PenFed cancelled my credit card despite a spotless history and a 780 score, citing “balances elsewhere.” Loyalty clearly means nothing. Their website is outdated, clunky, and even paying a bill takes 9 clicks. Out of touch, inconvenient, and unfair — look elsewhere.

Came to look at reviews as I was considering opening accounts with Penfed. So yes, a lot of reviews are not great but some are. However, the reason I won't be looking into penfed any further is there horrible replies to genuinely frustrated long time customers. The email they provide is a social media email and they do not address anyone's specific concerns. That's not a good sign.

Over 10 times they have denied me purchases. I have called and talked to them on numerous occasions. They still won’t correct it and the money sits in pending for 5 business dads and it continues to happen. There is plenty of money in the account and they are refusing to allow the purchase every now and then. Sometimes it goes through, then numerous other times they deny it. Don’t bank with them as they won’t let you spend your money where you want too.

Penn fed is horrible. The app don’t work. They charge you late fees when is not your fault. You will never find a human to talk to. The worst ever.
