“We were referred to Fetch Veterinary Specialists in Bonita Springs (specifically Dr. Robert Vasilopoulos) by our dog Jenny’s primary care vet. Jenny has been experiencing recurring UTI’s for some time, and after countless urinalyses, antibiotic treatments, urine cultures, an abdominal ultra-sound and even a vulvoplasty, a consult with a specialist for further evaluation was warranted. Dr. Bob (as he is called) reviewed Jenny’s rather lengthy medical history and conducted a physical exam. Then he met with us, shared his diagnosis (es) and recommended a plan. We discussed his recommendations and elected to move forward if, or more likely when, Jenny’s symptoms return.

All in all, our experience with Dr. Bob was very positive. He’s friendly and people oriented He’s a good communicator. He speaks in plain, easy-to-understand language. More important, he is a good listener who clearly values owner feedback/input. Our session with him was not hurried in any way. “I can't recommend Dr. Washburn and Stacy enough. Great experience! We had been to two other vets in SWFL for this issue. These two both took a lot of time with my dog and never made us feel rushed. They explained our options, including cost and effectiveness, and helped me make the best decision without pushing unnecessary testing. My dog had relief within about 6 hours and is still doing great 2 days later! The front office staff was also very friendly.”

“Dr. Andrew and the entire team at Newport Animal Hospital are absolutely outstanding! They are just so so caring and are truly genuine. I recently had my 8 year old Maltese teeth cleaned as well as extractions and was pretty nervous. Dr. Andrew went over everything with me thoroughly and made sure all my questions were answered. He calmed my nerves and made me feel comfortable and confident knowing that my fur baby was in the greatest hands. Even after the procedure the following day they check in to see how your pet is doing and if you have any concerns. The team is very responsive to have your questions answered as soon as possible. I highly recommend Dr. Andrew for any veterinary needs as Newport Animal Hospital is truly exceptional.”

“I cannot recommend the services provided by SWFL Vet Specialists more. Our puppy suffered a Y fracture to her humerus and not only were they able to get her in right away and get her taken care of, but they've also been EXTREMELY helpful throughout the entire process. To name a few- Kiara and Taylor have both been incredible to us, among many other staff members. We are so glad we chose this vet for our girl's surgery, despite it being quite a drive from home.”

“About a year ago, my 4 year old cat had to be rushed to the hospital. Took him to Blue Pearl in Ft. Myers, they told us there he has a severe heart condition and he needs to see a cardiologist and recommended this place as it's the only animal hospital with a cardiologist specialist. (Blue Pearl charged me 3500$ to keep my cat on oxygen and take X-rays). We had another emergency a week before our scheduled appointment with the cardiologist and took him here directly. That visit they treated him the same as blue pearl (he had to be on oxygen for 2 days longer here than blue pearl) and I paid 1700$. For all the people complaining about the money, take it from someone who's had multiple pet emergencies (more than what I just listed) and have gone to multiple places.. money is not an issue here. It's going to be expensive anywhere you go. This place charges THE LEAST. They DO care about the animals. Just because not all of your animals survive DOES NOT mean they don't care. THINGS HAPPEN. Long story short my cat did not make it as we had a 3rd emergency rush to the hospital for his heart problem and he passed on the way there. I never once felt these people wanted to take all my money. I always felt they wanted to help. Every interaction I had with any employee there was pleasant. Keep in mind when reading these negative reviews you're only getting one side of the story and I think we all know how people can be. Take it with a grain of salt.”
