“This shop is the friendliest place around. They're all quick with a smile, a kind hello with actual eye contact or "how ya doing today?".. and they mean it. They're also a lot of fun. As soon as I walk in, they grab what I need before I even get to the counter. It's rare these days to get that kind of personal attention. It's NoT a typical "head shop" with a bunch of yoots hanging around like other smoke shops in town. They ALL have their pants pulled up. LOL It's always clean & well organized. I love hearing the laughter from the "cigar lounge" in the back. I don't smoke cigars but they sure have a huge selection. I've heard the guys help customers figure out what kind they're looking for. That's a LOT of cigars to know so much about. I highly recommend this cool spot. Sad to read some of the negative reviews. Some of them are hard to fathom. I've always had a great experience there & I always walk out feeling better than when I walked in. Thanks guys!”

Recommended night crawler flavor and said it tasted like gummy bears, I got some cherry flavor with some pineapple but after a few hits I also got juicy pear jelly beans. It's very good. Shop was clean and well organized. She also recommended Cherry strapple which is also good. Couldn't help but try it. She also signed me up for rewards and entered my birthday for possible savings and told me about a sale on the brand I bought. Will def be back. 20 out of 10 experience. “Total Wine in Sarasota easily has the widest selection of alcoholic beverages we have found in the area.
The store is enormous, with long aisles devoted to wine, spirits, beer, sparkling wine, ready-to-drink cocktails, and many specialty products.
It is an especially good place to look for niche items that smaller stores rarely carry.
The German wine section is a good example. It includes a large selection of Rieslings, with wines from major regions such as the Mosel and Rheinhessen.
Of course, no store carries everything. I was looking for Henkell Trocken, a Riesling-based German sparkling wine, but could not find it.
When I asked a manager, he immediately recognized the product and explained that the store had carried it previously but no longer does. I appreciated his product knowledge and the clear answer.
The beer selection is equally impressive, with domestic, imported, craft, specialty, and non-alcoholic beers.
My only complaint is that the beer selection could be organized more logically.
Belgian-style abbey beers, for example, are displayed in at least four different locations, making it difficult to compare the available choices without searching several aisles and sections.
Despite that organizational issue, this is an excellent destination for anyone looking for variety.
The breadth of the selection, knowledgeable staff, and availability of unusual products make Total Wine one of the best places in Sarasota to shop for wine, beer, spirits, and alcohol-free alternatives.”
