About Westbay Animal Hospital
Westbay Animal Hospital is a doctor-owned small animal hospital for dogs and cats, operating since 1993. It serves the Sarasota-Bradenton area and surrounding island communities. The practice is in a standalone building with separate entrances for dogs and cats, emphasizing high-quality medicine with compassion and excellent customer service.
Reviews consistently note that the veterinarians are caring, smart, thorough, professional, proficient, and great. The staff is always friendly and polite. There is a strong emphasis that the doctors and staff genuinely care about the animals, which is considered refreshing. Service is described as great, with efficient diagnosis and treatment. However, the hospital is noted as being expensive. A minor inconvenience for some clients is that prescribed food is not available through a particular online service, requiring a drive. Overall, the care provided is considered worth the effort.

I took my very sick dog in as a new patient. I unfortunately had to say goodbye to my beloved dog. I just want to thank Dr Murphy and staff for their compassion in this time of a great loss.

Extremely friendly staff and very knowledgeable veterinarian I was concerned about my dog Jaxx I brought him in from one appointment and the veterinarian was so knowledgeable that he was able to diagnose and treat my dog in one visit I have yet to have to bring him back.
