I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and have a great experience at this office so far. I was diagnosed with PCOS at 15 and had some bad experiences with Drs throughout my twenties. I’m overweight and have been treated as less than due to my size in the past. Before becoming pregnant I had lost 100 pounds naturally but still had a complex of Drs or being treated poorly. I originally went to Women’s Care Brandon who I had seen for my Gynecology needs prior to pregnancy. They turned me down due to my BMI and really did not assist me in finding another office within their group that could take of me during pregnancy. I was very discouraged by this. I found Advent Health in Brandon and immediately made an appointment. Their office and staff have been nothing short of supportive throughout my entire pregnancy. The Oakfield office in particular has been fantastic. The front staff has helped me so much with scheduling and has done a great job. The nurses and nurses assistants have also been amazing and I know many of them by name. The Drs that I’ve met so far within this group have all been knowledgeable and helpful. I’m so thankful I found this office when I needed it the most, and that I am no longer worried or anxious about how I will be treated. Highly recommend.

LACK of communication with this place is unreal.Amanda Ballo should not be working with patients. She argues, has zero empathy or bedside manner, and rudely chuckles when her horrible mannerisms are brought to her attention. Writes unprofessional notes on patient record.I wouldn't let her treat a dog. Let alone a person.People like her are the perfect example as to why Advent Health Obstetrics has horrible grades on Google reviews and healthgrades's site.I do not suggest seeing her or Advent for any services.

I sat naked for quite sometime until the doctor came to see me and I was the only patient in the clinic so I didnt understand why? Will probably start looking for a different clinic.

I can say the doctors and nurses are nice and professional but when it comes to scheduling or for me I’m trying to fax my records over no one ever answers the phone for either of the offices 505 or 401 it sits you on hold for 5 mins and then it cuts off in just sits in silence and I see you guys commenting on our reviews but still have yet to fix the problem about nobody answering the phones or our calls just not going through it’s really ridiculous even though you guys are very nice and professional I don’t recommend calling here if you want an appointment because they never answer

I want to leave a good review here because the service here is very good! Pleasant service at the reception, very good nurse and qualified doctor! My friend was even provided with a translation service into her native language! So you can ask about translation to your language. Now we hope that the prescribed treatment will also justify itself. But I also understand why this medical center gets bad reviews, because it is almost impossible to get through to them! Better to just come and sign up. They also waited a very long time for the doctor, but this is nonsense if the issue is resolved well.

This place should be shut down, please find somewhere else to go! They never answer the phone, the staff is very rude and disrespectful. The doctors here don’t care about you at all. I was constantly dismissed by doctor Aksu for months for my painful endometriosis and cysts. He refused to do surgery on me & let me suffer. He gave me no plan of treatment. When I asked him questions, he would get an attitude and seem annoyed. Thankfully I found another doctor elsewhere & got my surgery done while saving both my ovaries. These doctors need to get their license revoked please save your time and find somewhere else to go!

My 17 year old daughter is expecting. She has been going to the Brandon OBGYN clinic since she was approximately 8 weeks along. She will be 30 weeks tomorrow and it's almost impossible to get an appointment. The doctor (who is great) said to make appointments every two weeks as she is in the 3rd trimester and they could not find anything for over a month out. I complained they called "corporate" and she was scheduled to see someone in Tampa for later on today. So today I call to cancel it as she was admitted last night with covid and am told that her next appointment which follows this one had been canceled and no one can see her until the end of July. Why was her appointment canceled without any communication? When will she finally see her doctor? I have no idea as you cannot get through on the phone.Update: They made her an appointment for the 14th of July but yesterday we received a call that there will be no doctor available then and so it has been canceled once again. We are waiting for a call back to be rescheduled. At this rate, the baby will be one year old before she is seen for her maternity appointments.

They’ve changed my doctor so many times and I had a hemorrhage that they never checked up on after I went to the hospital for it they never said anything about and when I would ask to see the baby beacause of the hemorrhage they said it doesn’t work like that i can’t want to see my baby now at 6 months pregnant I bled again and the hospital had to tell me it had never gonna away in the first place and every time I come I have to wait like an hour for someone to see me pregnancy boutiques are better than an actual obgyn office insane

My insurance had limited coverage with women's services, so I went to this clinic despite the low reviews. While the office staff was very friendly, wait times were consistently 1-2 hours. The phone line is near impossible to reach people through- it is shared with another office, so simple things like scheduling appointments or getting results are a daunting task. I also experienced billing issues due to the office's improper coding. Again, very nice office staff, but there are some fundamental issues with how the office is setup and run that make this a very poor patient experience. If you have other options, take them. If you don't, just prepare for long wait times and be ready to call a lot to get in contact with the office for anything.

I had a surgery consultation here on April 5th. The appointment went ok and the doctor said someone would be calling me that week to schedule surgery. Nobody called and I had to reach out to them twice before I had someone contact me the last week of April. She said “we can get you in next week”. I’m sorry, but I have a one year old and a job so I need to give notice that I’m going to be out recovering and arrange someone to watch my child. I said that was too soon so she said she would call the following week with the new surgery schedule to arrange a date in May. That was over a month ago and it’s almost the end of May. I have called them again and nobody will return my call now. Extremely unprofessional when people are dealing with health issues and are relying on those who are supposed to be able to help them.
