Terrible service, bad diagnosis, and on top of that expensive on Causeway Blvd, Brandon. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. We took our cat to a consultation for a urine infection (with blood) and the diagnosis was that they had to do an ultrasound (about 800 dollars or so) to find out what he had but that he probably had stones, because the urine test did not show. I knew and that if it came back positive I would have to have a $2,500 surgery the next day. Due to this, we took him to another CLINIC as an EMERGENCY and with the urine diagnosis they said that there were no stones. We also did tests such as an ultrasound to be more sure and of course there was nothing and no need to do surgery, (it was just an infection). and the prices, even if it was an emergency, were much cheaper than Banfield. It is incredible how these types of people, just to make more money, make an incorrect diagnosis, they only care about making money and not about the health of the pet. In addition, terrible customer service at the service point, they are not very friendly with customers, for all this we will not return nor do we recommend it.

Rude people working the front desk, no communication what so ever (looks like others have had the same experience from previous reviews). Does it kill you to say " it'll be just a few minutes" or "Hello, how can I help you today"? or "we're running a little behind today, we'll be with you shortly". Just sit behind the desk, never smile, and glare at people while checking your cellphone. They need to find people that actually like animals and enjoy coming to work because it is very obvious that none of these people do. I don't need to hear an excuse after being made to wait 45 minutes to drop off my dog that "I'm the only nurse". How about "sorry to make you wait" Too many places now a days don't know what customer service is, no one wants to hear excuses for why you are rude to the customer or why you make someone wait for almost an hour for a drop off. You being the only nurse is not my problem, maybe staff your animal hospital to support busy times and quit acting like you are doing everyone a favor when you are checking pets in. I'm sure the corporate office wouldn't like some of these negative comments that are on here about your place. Obviously, you haven't learned from any of them.

New spot for Banfield. Small reception area, but the staff were very nice! Everyone was great, fast check in, short wait to be seen (wish my own doc was this efficient!), and check out was just a quick. I'll be back!

Very rude girl at the front desk for Banfield! Doesn’t know how to do her job! Prescription was provided this year 2023 and she tells me last script was from 2021 and how come you have been printing me cards and I have a card set to expire in January 2024.So I had to drive home get the card because she refused to print me one. Train your employees to do their job right! And she gives me attitude tells me I can buy my food now. How rude and unhelpful she was! Will not step into your store againLeah dergham

I have had banfield for 10years and between change of plan costs and out of pocket costs, banfield has received more than the services I have received. I have had to go back to vet repeated times for the same issues. The lack of knowledge from some vets mixed with miscommunication among the staff I have wasted a lot of time and money. Most recent events is my dog back legs having issues and was told she need a X-ray but most likely need a neurologist, which I later found out is another cost and service banfield is not capable of. I went to two locations on this matter and was told many things. The nurse at the Causeway location told me she needed an X-ray and I had to pay out of pocket for half and the remaining added to the plan. The vet that was onsite told me she believed it to be neurological from what she examined on the X-ray but it will be sent to radiologist. They told me it would be 24hours and then I called 3 days later and the X-ray was never sent. They offered to refund the out of pocket cost. I still had my plan upgrade cost which is unfair. Not to mention I still don’t know what is wrong with my dog, I ask to have the X-ray sent and they found nothing, saying I need a MRI which is another cost. Why make me do an X-ray at all if they knew she was going to need a MRI. Each time I go to banfield there is a different vet on-site. For a long time my dog was seeing the same vet until she left banfield. Now there is no structure and lack of communication amongst staff. I was given medications for my dog which has not helped and now I’m being ask to pay $740 to cancelled after I have paid over the last almost 10years over $6000 between plan and out of pocket cost by banfield. You guys have already drafted $90 from new plan after I was on a plan for $60. I paid $240 from the last visit on 8/29 which was out of pocket cost of X-ray. To pay $740 or another cent is unsatisfactory and unacceptable. This location on Causeway is rude and unprofessional will not being coming back.

We have been fortunate to rescue two amazing, loving, and personable cats. I know not all cats are this way and I am a realistic person when it comes to taking them to vets and we have never had issues at our old vet prior to moving. We brought the first cat here last week-who is the more outgoing of the two- and were in total shock when we got a call that he was hissing and not letting anyone touch him. We figured he was stressed due to a new vet and didn’t think much else of it. This week we bring the 2nd cat who is admittedly much more shy and we get another call they can’t help her because she was hissing & acting out. Also took over 20 minutes each time just to pick my cats up who weren’t even fully seen. This can’t be a coincidence- idk what’s going on here but I will not be going back.

Took my nephew Oreo for a physical, and the staff was great. He doesn't like strangers, but they made him comfy and took great care of him. Thanks Team

Ever since they've lost a few of their veterinarians, they've gone absolutely downhill. There is no personal touch with the veterinarians there and they're just there to collect a paycheck. Checking in and out takes over 30 minutes! It's absurd! I'm not renewing my plans and I'm not going back to Banfield. They've been up-charging me $4-$8 a month with no notice or explanation except that it's inflation. My pets go there twice a year for their shots, what is driving up the cost?! They can't offer a legit reason and don't think I'll notice the extra charges so I'm done with Banfield. They're charging more for less services. No thank you, I'm going to the SPCA for my pet's needs! Now I understand the bad reviews.

I can here because this Banfield was closest to me. I liked how everything was clean and new here. The doctors were really nice and accommodating. They went over thing and helped me out with my concerns with my dog. However the checkin guest that lady was not welcoming at all. No smiles or welcome in. Literally just said I need your dog on the scale and gave me a piece of paper to fill out. Just the customer service wasn't there. After that I never got a update on how his visit went on online. I like to look at his lab work and see all what they tested. The last one I went printed it out for me and sent online to.

I’ve been with Banfield for over 15 years. My lab, Bucky was a patient of Dr Manning until her passing. Then my dog Wrangler was seen by Dr Manning. Since they fired her, the best veterinarian we could ever have hoped for, everyone is leaving. Just tried to make an appt today with Dr Doms, to find out she is no longer there. I miss the “family” environment that we used to have. What the hell is happening there to make everyone leave?? As of today, they have NO doctors there. Only outsiders filling in. I want to cancel my wellness plan and get my dog out of there. I am so sad and disappointed!!! Does anyone know where Dr Doms went??
