Brandon Hospital has been such a vital part of our care for our family. From having a baby to bringing our littles to this hospital. Is a blessing. Thank you Brandon Hospital for being there for our family.

Do not come to this Hospital. It is the worst hospital I have ever seen. Nurses are unprofessional and don't care. Medications not distributed correctly. Doctors don't show up. I did not feel safe or taking care of at all. Something is wrong with the management or the way they care for you. All the way down to the food . Cleanliness is questionable roaches twice. I had to ask the cleaning people to mop the floor because they came in and cleaned and didn't even pull them up out. It was a mistake coming to this Hospital. Read the reviews

I’m actually in B21 now if you would like to send an Administrator in to see me.20 hours waiting On MRI results so I can be released… I get dressed on my own to leave and amazingly they appear. I’ve had none of my prescriptions for 3 days , I’m dehydrated and been without IV for several hours.Everyone is friendly but incompetent at best .Absolutely no communication. If you’re looking for friendly, not efficient care- this is your placePros- clean , comfortable, nurse Jon, food was good MRI Tech- Mark; overall very friendly staff - just no coordination/communication!Cons- lack of communicationLack of efficiency, ineptness of night staff, noise level of staff discussing personal matters (night staff) . Monitor noise levels In my room and other patients ; 6 hour transport time from Plant City to Brandon.Update** charge nurse Kimberly finally took charge.

I just left the ER and I wanted to say thank you for the excellent and compassionate care I received from all the staff today but especially my nurse Chelsea and my nurse practitioner Danni. They were efficient, kind, and so very thoughtful. I left there feeling so much better than when I arrived and confident they did their very best. Thank you for all your hard work.

Horrible service and they don't even follow the hospital rules about asking people what medication they are on and what allergies they have. I have a lot of allergies. And they falsify records to benefit them. They said I refused treatment, no they refused to give me treatment. Now they can't even apologize for what they did you me.How hard is it to give me a flu test? How hard is it to give me a potassium test? They couldn't even look at my chart to understand my medical problemsThey never took the time to ask me what medications that I was on.They never asked me if I had allergies to any medication. They never ask me who my primary is.They never ran tests on me.They misdiagnosed my medical conditions ( they called it a virus) they never took the time to see if I had the flu B.They prescribed me a medication that I shouldn't take while having the flu. They refused to give me treatment and told everyone I refused treatment.Just because I wanted them to run a potassium test on me. And they didn't want to run one.I just wanted a doctor who understood how you can lose potassium and understand how important it is that the potassium doesn't go too low. If they had looked in my chart they would see how I lost it and why. And see I have been hospitalized for this condition. And just wanted a doctor to let me know what I had. If they had just run the normal tests they run on people with certain symptoms. They would have found out I had flu B. It's a simple 15-minute test to find out.

Very disappointed on the care my son responded today at Brandon hospitalHe came in for leg pain due to a bullet logged in his thigh vomiting blood, stomach pains and diarrhea only test ran was blood work and urineSent him home said “he looks healthy” and probably a bugAll because he has no insurance they refused to test him or do any xrayslike they where testing other patients with insuranceHe can go home and bleed to death but they can careless. Sent him home with a prescription and that’s itHealthcare here in Florida is horrible and very unorganized calling patients that where already in the back being seenLong waits man in lobby pissed and pooped himself in the lobby and exposedNot cleaning the area where the man was sitting just nasty

I wanted to update my review but I assume it was taken down. First I just want to say, in my opinion a hospital needs to be clean! I understand people are gross and inconsiderate. But what I saw in those couches in the ED was beyond yuck. The rest of the hospital is great. Everyone that I have encountered has been very nice. I do appreciate everything they've done for my Mom.Reevaluate cleaning techniques to include checking the couches for foreign objects, vacuuming and sanitizing as needed.

I honestly can not give enough praise to all of my caretakers. They are all angles. I was admitted into the MCU in pretty bad shape. I felt that the caretakers went above and beyond to make me comfortable, and all faces were so friendly. I was closely monitored throughout my stay. I really can't thank you guys enough.Thank you, Jennifer, Alyssa, Kelsie, Jacob, Joel, Dr. Patel Dr. Daidi and everyone who looked after me so well. God bless all of you.

I came into Brandon HCA Hospital for chest pain and a bad diabetic wound. They immediately brought me back and ran many tests. I did not have to wait long to be given something for my pain. I made them aware I was on Methadone and they needed to contact the clinic that administrators my Methadone. Not everyone on Methadone did hard drugs btw. Some of us just could not take the pain from stopping a small dose pain medication like Lortab. My case. The Drs all treated me with respect and nobody treated me differently for being on Methadone which is common in the medical community. Anyway I was tested for chest pain via a CAT scan with contrast and my wound was found to be very serious. I had Sepsis. I was 3 bags low on blood. They saved my life. They did have to do a partial foot amputation but no other choice. My foot was about to fall off. Once admitted to a room I was treated like royalty. Compassionate nurses and excellent service. The food was awesome. First few days I was too sick to eat but once I felt better, I was eating every last drop! Very happy with my care given to me at HCA Brandon. If I was to complain about anything it would be the speed of me getting my Methadone dose. I did tell them Friday that they had to verify with my clinic that I was even on it. Sunday comes around and they still had not given me my dose. They did give other meds that helped and they said the reason for the delay was in case I needed stronger meds for the amputated foot which I declined morphine. I was dosed Sunday and each day after with no problem. So I am very happy with my stay at BRH.

I had emergency surgery and spent a few days on 3A in PCU. I had amazing nurses that went above & beyond to provide not only the physical care but emotional & mental as well. Not being able to sit up without excrutiating pain is pretty humbling but Estelle, Mirasol & all of their assistants helped with such grace that it's hard to find the words to thank them enough. They weren't robots & I wasn't just patient # whatever, they showed genuine compassion when I needed it most for recovery. Thank you!

I had the choice of having my baby via csection at HCA BRH or Advent hospital- Tampa. At first, I was hesitant in even considering BRH from what I've heard however, I had several reasons to proceed with BRH. One being convenience, two I saw MFM at BRH and three, their level three NICU. I was still uncertain but gave them the benefit of the doubt. After touring with Elyse (L & D coordinator). She answered all of my questions & concerns giving me comfort in my decision. Elyse went above and beyond to make sure everything went as requested and that I was happy with my experience. I had a scheduled csection with Dr. Edwards. The process from beginning to end was smooth & stress-free. The nurses were attentive & listened to my needs. The anesthesiologist & team did a great job in the OR. I have no complaints with anything. Overall I had a great experience & am very thankful for all of their hard work, compassion, professionalism & attentiveness. I would recommend to another Mom considering having her baby at BRH.
