Purchased a frame from Michaels and just wanted a custom sized white matte for an art print. That's all I wanted. Waited patiently to place the order because it was a busy day, but when it came to my turn, it took several tries just to put it in the system...for just one simple, square matte board. I stood there for 30 minutes. They were very friendly and said it shouldn't take long, maybe a day or two and they would give me a call when it was ready. This was a Thursday. Since they seemed so busy when I made my order, I tried to be patient but Tuesday I called and they said that someone forgot to call me and say it was ready Friday.
I head over there and brought the art print with me, it seemed to fit perfectly and I was really happy with the cut. However, as the employee was about to tape everything up, they dropped the matte board causing it to dent. I didn't want that to show and I'd paid a lot of money for a quality product so I asked them. Could they please redo it for free. The guy apologized and said they would. I had already waited for him to align everything for at least 20 minutes so I was frustrated that this wasn't a simple pickup.
I never got a phone call that week. ANOTHER week goes by and so I drop in on a Wednesday. Assuming that a whole week would have been plenty of time to fix it.
When I get there, The same employee who had dented the matte asked for my order name and got it out for me. It had been taped up in cardboard as if it was ready to go for me. But when he opened it up, the art print wasn't even in the frame and it was the same matte board they said they would fix. Another employee came out and said it wouldn't even show in the frame.
Frustrated that this took 3 weeks to do and without zero communication, I settled and said fine and it took another 15-20 minutes to place the art print in the frame. This is absolutely unacceptable customer service and I will not be going to them for framing services again. Employees were kind but had no idea what they were doing.

This has got to be the worst Michael’s I have ever been to. The staff is incredibly unfriendly - no smiles, no willingness to help, and every time I hear a word out of their mouths it’s like they are doing me a favor. I went tonight to pick up a bunch of picture frames I ordered online. The girl that “helped” me had to be promoted to assist and the only thing she said was “welcome” after I said thank you when I was leaving.She brought my all 12 of my frames and was ready to hand them to me… no bag, nothing. So I asked if they had bags and she just walked toward the self check out station to grab some.This is the girl with the bull nose piercing.The store is a mess and incredibly disorganized

They have good sales and offer coupons to those that sign up with an email. The store has so many different areas offering a variety of items for different crafting projects or just to make your house a home.

Bring your cashiers back. Store looks to have converted to self-checkout only. Horrendous experience, took me over 5 minutes to check out two items (and I have used self check out before).

Called ahead to know if they sold Stonehinge paper because I don't want to drive 40 min back and forth. Associate left me on hold for 16 minutes after she audibly let out an exasperated sigh at my question. I've had bad customer service experience in this place time and time again and I'm a gen Z, not usually a karen, but BFFR, y'all are horrible
