The story about a gunsmith who gave me unwanted legal advice that if followed could have got me thrown in prison:On August 1st 2023 I met Mike at his home/shop because I wanted to permanently attach a muzzle device to a 12.5" barrel so I wouldn't have to worry about the outcome of the pistol brace rule. He told me the ATF lost the case and the pistol brace rule is no longer in effect and I tried to explain to him that what he's telling me is not correct. He immediately got irritated and insisted that his unwanted legal advice was correct and he even started tapping his finger on his FFL license that was taped on the wall as he's telling me that he would know better than me and I still disagreed then he rudely told me to take my stuff and get off his property and apparently I wasn't moving fast enough so he threatened to call the police on me if I didn't hurry up and leave. As of today, August 1st 2023 the fifth circuit has granted TEMPORARY injunctions that halted the pistol brace rule ONLY for the actual plaintiffs in the case and DOES NOT apply to everyone nationwide so if you're not listed as a plaintiff or you're not a member of a plaintiff or a customer of Maxim Defense the rule stands until a final decision from the courts is reached. (Not legal advice) The advice I would give to you Mike is to not force unwanted legal advice on to your customers because you're not an attorney and if you still think that you actually know what's happening with the pistol brace rule you should think again and go do some more research so that you don't embarrass yourself in front of anyone else. Thanks for wasting my time and treating me poorly after I chose to do business with you and treated you with respect the whole time.

I tried to fix a lose thumb piece nut on my S&W 586 using loctite (it went horribly wrong ). I managed to gum up my thumb piece to the point I could no longer close the cylinder reliably. Mike was able to fix my kitchen gunsmithing attempt quickly and at an affordable rate. Lesson learned, no more loctite on firearms!

I Have used Mike's services for trigger upgrades for my Glock model 45 and AR15. I have got some nice and expensive triggers so didn't want to do it myself. I took guns to the range today and could feel what an amazing work he has done. Both AR15 and Glock triggers felt so smooth, very fast reset, amazing firing capabilities without any failure. Mike has done perfect job and have charged me very reasonable fees. Mike, you have got me as customer for life. Your knowledge about firearms and perfection in the work makes you unmatched gunsmith service provider within area. I have done some work from other gunsmiths as well but nothing compared to your services. Thank you so much. Looking forward to work with you again.

Not only do I strongly recommend but also very highly recommend Mike the gunsmith. I took him my pistol after taking it to a different gunsmith who did work on my gun but I was very unhappy with the outcome. Mike came along and totally exceeded my expectations he not only gave me what I wanted it I honestly felt very satisfied with how everything came out. He truly is a master at his craft and he’s also very knowledgeable and has quite the Résumé. I’m looking forward to seeing him again very soon.
