The entire staff is so professional and friendly. Dr. Busciglio was there when I had to put my cat Oscar down due to his kidney disease. He was very special to me since I adopted him after hurricane Katrina in Biloxi. He gave us hope and happiness. There is no one I would trust with my 5 animals than Dr. Busciglio and the Santa Cruz clinic.

I have been going to Santa Cruz for about 20 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Everyone at the clinic is amazing. They treat the animals like they were their own and go out of their way to fit you in with a sick animal. And they provide you with so much information about your animals, I never knew cats "hid" their illnesses. They have seen me through a few losses, the latest during COVID when my sweet cat, Smo, was diagnosed with cancer. He lived 2 years by getting a monthly steroid shot to keep his tumor at an acceptable size. He was happy and ate, played and snuggled. When it was time, the technician met me at the car, already crying, because they loved him and had seen him through 2 years of his journey. Dr. B saw my name on the "fit in" list a couple of months ago for my Prince Harry chill out big orange Hemingway. He told the office staff, I know her well, I'll see her baby! And he's all better!!!

Such an amazing group of people!! I stopped going to banfield (for obvious reasons) and decided to give this vet a try. They actually let you sit with your dog throughout the entire appointment, which banfield never did. My dog has anxiety and a heart murmur so I can't imagine how stressed banfield made him. The doctors and staff at Santa Cruz are so caring and super friendly towards me and my dog. My baby has allergies and banfield just kept telling me it was an ear infection. WRONG! I've spent $1000s of dollars at banfield on all the wrong stuff! Santa Cruz was able to take my dog in as soon as possible and gave him the right stuff he needs and I can tell he's already feeling much better. It was nice having the insurance at banfield but to know my dog is getting the actual care and attention at Santa Cruz I'm not too worried about the prices. 10/10 I will not be switching vets any time soon !

They were very nice on the phone, and even nicer when I got inside. I had to bring my Indian Ringneck in because of her leg, and they treated her well and also were very patient with the animal. Since it was pouring, I walked in all soaked, and they even gave me a towel. Very nice people, and also an amazing vet there to help. There's very little avian help out there, and I'm so happy I went here. 10/10 in my opinion.

The staff at Santa Cruz animal clinic provided my Doggo argentino who is eight months old, with excellent care. They tended to his allergies, itchy skin, and provided him with some relief that is already starting to show. He is scratching less and the small bumps on the back of his coat are going down. I highly recommend Santa Cruz as the staff was very friendly and professional.

Ever since the staff changed this place has gone down hill. At least the technicians were caring and compassionate. It's just a gloomy carcass now. *********************************************

A kitten ran into our home uninvited, we didn't have the heart to kick it out, my wife is highly allergic to cats, and the kids became possessed. We tried to give it to the Humane Society, wouldn't take it, the Hillsborough Pet Resource center made it very difficult, phone calls, appointments, paperwork, very long parking lot waiting, no joy and then I started making a list and calling them.

Have been taking my cats there since 2004. My last was 18, had kidney failure and they did everything to make her comfortable & were all very kind when I had to put her to sleep. Last year I adopted a stray and went back to them for his routine care. They were just as professional as I remembered, from the Docs, the techs, the office staff. My cat was petrified at first, but thoroughly enjoyed being petted on, didn't flinch at his claws being trimmed, his shots. I see people complaining about cost. I thought for a physical, vaccinations, claw trim and 6 months of flea meds it was a reasonable $200. Nothing extra was pushed on me, they examined him thoroughly. Would recommend.

it's hard to find an avian vet ... let alone one that has the same breed you do. Dr Stanton was amazing.

I had a very bad experience with Santa Cruz Animal Hospital back in 2017. I had been taking our sweet Dylan there every month or so for steroid shots from 2015-Nov 2017. Our family loved Dr. Gordon! In Nov 2017 Dylan's condition was starting to worsen. Dylan was becoming immune to the steroid naturally but we were about to go on a long trip and I hated leaving Dylan in a deteriorating condition. Dr Gordon said if it seems like the condition worsens, come in Saturday and we will give him a little extra to give him a relief. So Saturday comes, I call as soon as they open, and Jayne refuses to let us come in, even after I explained what Dr. Gordon had told me just days before. She curtly told me there were plenty other fur babies in need and they simply did not have the time in the schedule. After no success I asked Jayne to copy our medical file for both cats and I would be in shortly to pick it up so I could seek future care otherwise. The kicker, as I'm standing at the desk, I hear Jayne on the phone telling someone if they could hurry up, they could fit them in. I couldn't believe it, it made no sense. I asked her why and she had no response. We never had an issue before that but that was enough. I've never gone back.

They were very comforting to me during the process of having to put my dog Hershey to sleep. They let me spend special time with her before and during the process.
