We have been going to Santa Cruz Animal Hospital for several years now. We love Dr. Stanton and she has given all our babies great care and still does! We first met her and the staff at the hospital when our regular vet was out of town and our 10 yr old girl Sophie (yellow lab / german shepherd mix) stated acting funny at home and became very very bloated. We called several places and Santa Cruz was the only vet clinic who answered and told us to come in. The end result was Sophie's abdomen was twisted and Dr. Stanton did emergency surgery, which saved Sophie's life. We ended up having Sophie for two more years before we lost her to cancer. We credit Dr. Stanton and the staff for this extra years. Since that time our vet retired and we have remained with Dr. Stanton and Santa Cruz. She has seen us through the loss of Sophie, the additions of Jackson, Stella, Emily and now Virgil (all rescues)! She also helped us to say goodbye to Sophie, Jackson and Stella when their time came. I can say she and the staff were compassionate, supportive and understanding during those times. Being honest, I will say they are more expensive than some others, but the care is exceptional. They have always found a way to fit us in when we had a concern or worry and Doc took the time to speak with us by phone when necessary. You can't go wrong with the doctors here.

The receptionists and all staff and Doctors are great. I am always able to book an appointment within days from my call, very short time in the waiting room, the office is clean, and Dr's and nurses are gentle and thorough with our fur baby.

I have a 12 year old cat that has heart disease now. We have sold the house and planning to our rv across the country and I don't know how I'm going to take care of her but I will go to all ends to do this. Everyone in this office has been just wonderful and showed great concern for my Tinkerbell. They truly are the best and work with Blue Pearl as well. I will miss them all

Doctor Stanton ROCKS?
but sadly, the front desk staff is not tentative to your needs...
if I didn't like the way, Dr. Stanton took care and explained things to me on my furry babies, I'd go somewhere else. ? ? ?

Absolutely love this place. My dog will be 4 years soon. They treat my buddy like it's his first time there EVERYTIME. This is the place I would go-to for any vet visits.

Very kind and efficient. We had a cat dental surgery and the doctor explained everything they were doing and what our options were. They made sure we knew what the price range would be with a print out of costs, which was very helpful as well.

I’m giving a 3 star for a few different reasons.
Dr Stanton was wonderful, we have seen her a few times with our beagle. I give her personally a 5 star.
That being said. We brought our new puppy in to get her on heart worm and flea & tick meds
Our appt was at 8:30 (Dr Gordon). We were taken back to the room around 8:25. At about 9:30 I went out to the reception desk and asked how long before we see a dr.
I was told the delay was due to two emergency's. The vet we were supposed to see was tied up but Dr Stanton was available. We were finally able to see Dr Stanton
My point is communication would have been nice.
I completely understand that emergency's happen and they are priority. I also want to say, every time I call I am left on hold for a number of minutes, no matter what time of day it is.
The staff checking you in and out need lessons in customer service.
