“Walking into Surf & Paddle Shop was like stepping into a fairytale. From the very first moment, I felt wrapped in warmth, kindness, and light. The shop itself shines with such a cozy and magical atmosphere — as if the ocean whispered its secrets right into these walls.
The staff — both the lovely lady and gentleman — were truly wonderful, greeting me with such genuine smiles and even offering sweets ??. It felt less like shopping and more like visiting dear friends. I walked through the store as if floating, surrounded by treasures waiting to be discovered.
And then I found it — the most enchanting sky-blue swimsuit from Local Sunshine & Co. Soft, elegant, and radiant, it fits me perfectly, hugging my body like it was made just for me. Wearing it, I feel both graceful and free, like a mermaid ready to dance with the waves. Paired with crystal-clear swimming goggles, it was the perfect set for my ocean meditations. ?♀️?

“I had to shop for winter boots and Kohl's was my hero! All the other places had already started putting out spring and summer merchandise. I understand this is Florida, but we were having unusually cold weather conditions so the other stores should have kept their winter merchandise stocked. Nevertheless, I found my perfect boots and I was given a great price and my cashier Marie (Maria) from the Bronx was so nice, loved loved loved her and the manager worked his magic with the price! Thank you guys!”
“I went to the Tampa location at first, but while the staff were friendly and welcoming, the selection wasn't that great. So I went to the Clearwater store and wow, what a difference! Great selection of unique hippy-esque clothes, decor, jewelry, incense, candles, even tarot and oracle decks! Prices are what you would expect in a mall, but as others have mentioned, you can get some great deals in clearance. I had a coupon for 20% off, which included clearance items, so I purchased an oracle deck for half the price of retail (sweet!). Plus, they have sales often so you can get some deals that way.
I'm not sure what the 'original hippie' one-star reviewer is complaining about. The staff was very friendly, and I was welcomed as soon as I walked into the store. I will definitely stop in again the next time I'm on this side of the bay.”

I first visited Ron Jon's back in the late 1990s when I was stationed in Florida, so stumbling across the Clearwater location during our recent trip was a great surprise and brought back a lot of good memories.
The store looked fantastic—bright, clean, well organized, and full of quality merchandise. What really stood out to me was the pricing. With the quality of the materials and products they carry, I expected to pay more. It was refreshing to find items that were both well made and reasonably priced.
After our visit, I had the opportunity to speak with Eric, one of the shift managers, and he was absolutely awesome. Friendly, professional, and genuinely interested in making sure customers had a great experience. Employees like him are hard to find these days.
Between the quality merchandise, fair prices, and outstanding staff, Ron Jon's reminded me why I've always enjoyed shopping there. I only wish more clothing stores operated this way.
