“I shopped at the Publix on Sheridan Street and Pine Island the other day. I have always found Publix employees to be extremely helpful, but a gentleman named George went out of his way to make me feel better. I had tears in my eyes as I do often, because I lost my husband and had to move back from the mountains of NC to Florida to be with family. I was noticeably looking for my car. He stopped me and asked me what it looked like. He jogged around the lot looking while he told me to wait.said......he looked for it and we found it. He then re wrapped my soup as he thought it might spill and had such great words of encouragement for me. I really needed George that day. He vehemently refused a tip, He is retired from another job, but hope he stays at Publix for a long time to come. He is the epitome of Publix service and beyond. Thank you again, George. “Placed a cake order and and discovered at the special occasion that it was not what was ordered. It was very disappointing but spoke with Leslie the bakery manager and she made it right by graciously providing a complete refund. Kudos to Leslie for her Customer Service excellence! She restored my confidence in Publix that they will do the right thing.”

“Publix in Pine Lake Plaza,Cooper City is always clean, the staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and the Pharmacy is the very best. The regular staff of Manager Jeanine, Craig, Lauren and Dylan etc are awesome. I depend on Craig for keeping me on track with vaccines, refills and specific answers regarding side effects or other pertinent information I may need due to my own medical issues and through his experience with other customers. I trust them all without limits. In a day and time when it is rare to see your personal doctor and you see their P.A., there is sometimes a disconnect between doctor and patient, particularly when they change Physician Assistants. You start all over. There is a true successful effort at Publix Pharmacy to be consistent in their excellent quality of service with the patient's wellness as a priority. They answer any questions they can and point out anything you should know but haven't asked. If you need a place to depend on to make an extra effort for your prescription needs, this is it. They really, truly care and you, as a patient, will feel it.”

“Aldi's is the estranged brother of Trader Joe's. The abbreviated history is that Aldi's and Trader Joe's were owned by German brother's who fell out over whether or not to sell cigarettes. In 1962, they introduced the name Aldi, short for Albrecht-Diskont, which translates into English as Albrecht Discount. The company split into Aldi Süd and Aldi Nord, which operate thousands of stores in Europe, the United Kingdom and Australia. Aldi Süd controls the U.S. chain of Aldi stores while Aldi Nord operates in the U.S. as Trader Joe's. While Trader Joe's has great prices, Aldi will beat them and just about everyone else's prices every time. You can still signs of that German heritage all over Aldi's like in their German line of products called Deutsche Kuche, which offers offers beer, chocolate, roasted coffee, and uncured Bavarian bratwurst. If you want to save money on groceries Aldi's is a great way to do it. In order to bring you those low prices Aldi's has instituted some cost cutting measures. If you want a cart you will need to bring a quarter and to get your money back you need to return your cart from the parking lot back to the store saving employees from having to collect the carts. You will also have to bring your own bags or pay for theirs. Lines will most likely be long because they keep their staff to a bare bones minimum. Best of all is the check out. To get people through the line more quickly they will literally throw your groceries into the cart they keep chained at the check out. You will frantically try to grab your items out but will never be fast enough. Fortunately a lot of stores have now added self checkout which makes the process a lot faster. This store does have self check out. This Aldi's is located on University Drive in Cooper City near the new Monterra development. I popped in to pick up a few things and I love checking out different Aldi's because they all have unique inventory. I am addicted to aldiallthetime on Instagram and am always on the hunt for the new finds. Things I have to get every week include their bottled green tea, K-cup French roast coffee, Fit 50 less sugar orange juice, bagged kale, snapdragon apples, and fun snacks. The Easter candy is in and they have an entire aisle full. Also new in the Aisle of Shame is a lot of organizational items, gardening decorations, and planters. The ladder planter is a really hot item right now. This Aldi's had frozen baked goods like an apple pie and croissants that I haven't seen elsewhere. Speaking of frozen items, the Oreo ice cream bars look really good. I also discovered the caramel K-cups. Shop on Wednesday for best selection.”
