“This YMCA facility is clean, well-maintained, and staffed with friendly, helpful employees. However, I have two issues that could improve the experience for all members. First, during snowbird season, some seniors gather and linger on exercise machines to socialize, limiting access for others. The gym is a great social space, but I suggest adding signs stating, “If not actively using the machine, please be considerate and move on,” as most exercises (3 sets of 12 with rest periods) take only a few minutes per machine. Encouraging socializing in the comfy lounge areas by the entrance would also help. Second, during school breaks, teenagers often sit endlessly on the machines while playing on their phones, causing delays. As a family membership holder with only 30-45 minutes to work out, it’s frustrating that many times I can’t do a complete workout due to the inconsideration of others which has been happening more often. Clear guidelines or time limits on equipment use would ensure fair access for everyone. Thank you for considering these suggestions!”
“Nice City, downtown is clean, drivers are courteous in allowing pedestrians to cross at crosswalks. Roadways are busy, good restaurants, all in all a very enjoyable time.”
“I love going here. Sometimes there are a lot of people which is fine. Watching the birds as they come and go is very relaxing. If you do stay past dark you will see all the bats as the come out as well.”
“I’ve adopted 2 cats from St Francis in the past. I just adopted Lily and she’s such a sweetheart. The volunteers at St Francis love their kitties and care for them as if they were their own. Joy and Jane who helped me made sure I was a “ good cat mom” and I am so happy I passed. The adoption fee is extremely reasonable and Lily has made a very smooth transition into my home. Even my other cat has warmed up to the new arrival very quickly. If you are looking to adopt St Francis is the place to go.”

“I’ve recently re-joined the Moose at this lodge. It’s wonderful…not once have been there solo when some nice person has engaged, struck up a conversation with me. The bartenders are terrific….food TOO!
It’s my go-to place in Venice.
Lastly, if you’re not aware of Moose Charities, please look it up…might be the finest place to send a few extra bucks if you’re in a generous mood!

“This store is very well organized and clean. Friendly staff! But the real reason I am posting this review, is because I had called the store one day to see if they carried an item. Melissa answered the phone and I had asked if they had the item there. She wasn’t sure and placed me on hold. When returning to the phone, she said they did not carry the item and suggested that I might try another store that would carry what I had asked for.
The item was not the usual thing you would see or find at a Goodwill Store, it was a shot in the dark and thought I’d call before I went. Melissa has the customer service skills that most stores lack, basic customer service! True gem! Thank you Melissa for saving me some time today, which I don’t have much of these day!
