“It is truly incredible to see such a well-preserved piece of history, and I really enjoyed walking through the property and imagining what life was like hundreds of years ago. The tour was fascinating and the staff clearly care a lot about sharing the stories of the family who lived here. My only reason for not giving it a perfect score is that the limited hours make it a bit tricky to plan a visit, but if you are a history buff, it is definitely worth the trip. Fairbanks House”

“Have only been to the bar and the atmosphere is delightful. When they have live music sitting out back is so enjoyable. I'm not sure why I didn't frequent this establishment sooner.”

“This is a beautiful resort. It is huge. I loved the nature-feel. It's like being in a safe jungle. The staff is amazing. They had to help me find my way multiple times. I'm coming back, with my mom. A wonderful place to bring the whole family. Very child friendly.”

“We stayed here for our anniversary and loved it. The breakfast every morning was delicious and I really liked having different options to choose from. Room was very nice and clean. There is no coffee maker or microwave in the rooms but that's to be expected from a B&B like this. There is coffee in the lobby. Being only a few steps from the beach was great and the hotel beach chairs were well maintained and comfy. I really enjoyed being so near the state park. We came during the spring so the beach wasn't crowded but I could see crowds getting bad in the height of summer since the hotel is close to the main public beach park. Overall great place and we will be coming back.”

“The hotel is walking distance to the ocean, it's near Fort Clinche park, gas station is across the street and some great restaurants are within walking distance. The front lady was nice.
I wish the hotel offers better breakfast. It would be a plus if the hotel offers complimentary happy hour to guests.
The room is spacious, but it needs some attention.”

“I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel enough!! We stopped in for a night and from the time we entered to when we checked out. We were so impressed with the exceptional customer service and location of this hotel. Walking distance to the beach and yummy food. Also Richard at the Hotel, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and he deserves all the praise! “The Inn itself is very quaint and beautiful and has a great front porch.
We stayed in room 15 and it was set up like a log cabin and it was very cute. The internet though was really bad. Could not stay on it for more than 5-10 minutes and it would kick you off.

There was a misunderstanding with the breakfast the first morning and so we ended up going to a local place instead but was pleasantly surprised with the breakfast the second morning. Very good with made to order eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and they had great coffee, yogurt, berries, breads and OJ.

You cannot beat the location and everything in the old district is within walking distance. Don't miss the cute little historic museum when the docent is giving the lecture.”

“My family is here right now and it's literally perfect?! I'm suspicious about all the negative reviews. Maybe they're local competitors playing dirty or something. The front desk clerk was friendly and attentive, the rooms are exactly how the pictures appear, and the beach is right outside within easy walking distance. It's a better deal than any beach hotel that I've ever seen! My family is relaxed and happy. Thank you!”
