“We elected to elope at the Fairbanks House and we could not have been happier! What an amazing choice exceeding our expectations! The historic Mansion provided the perfect setting for our intimate affair. The owners were wonderful hosts and the staff were attentive to all our needs. Yvonne, Flint and Tammy, among others, really made us feel right at home. The daily breakfast and evening social were top notch! But the nightly COOKIES were a delectable savory touch! Every detail of our elopement was flawless and memorable! Photographer Lea and Officiant Lisa mirrored the exceptional experience. After the ceremony the Vintage Car getaway and our chauffeur Richard whisked us off to a tour of the hallmark town capped with a scrumptious Dinner at David’s. Kudos to all! We will be back yearly to celebrate our magical day!”

“Omni Resort Staying at the Omni Resort at Amelia Island was nice but the resort is in need of a renovation. The interior furniture and exterior paint are dated. I was surprised to see artificial plants as a centerpiece and all throughout the lobby. I've never seen that and I didn't like it. If you're so far North Fl to have exotic tropical foliage, then look for exotic foliage that can survive in colder climates, as is done in California. I was also surprised to see metal railings instead of glass, which looked rusted and obstructed the oceanview room we had. The shower leaked, so we had a soggy mess of towels on the floor, which sucks and shouldn't happen in a high end resort. The property is beautiful and has nice amenities that help make those minor inconveniences better. There are several pools on property, including an indoor adult infinity pool but it was closed. All pools are heated, which was quite nice. There are many restaurants on the property & shops. All are open to the public & have access from the street. The restaurants are worth trying. The Staff was exceptional. Everyone was very nice & that made it all worth it.”

“The Tradewinds Suite at Elizabeth Pointe, with its large private balcony, is the only way to go if you are aiming for the most romantic ocean-front beach getaway and resort-like experience in Fernandina Beach. They will add a special touch to your special occasion if you request it when you book directly with them. You can literally watch and photograph the gorgeous sunrise while comfortably sitting inside your beautiful suite wearing the cozy robes provided, or enjoy a memorable bubble bath in its large jacuzzi. Be sure not to miss their unbeatable blueberry pancakes (per request) and variety of mimosas ($) with an unbeatable, top class, hot breakfast, or their daily afternoon wine/beer/hors d'oeuvres social (all included). Also, enjoy your free access to brownies, cookies, fruits, water bottles, blankets and towels when you decide to use your private beach umbrella and chairs on the sand. All comforts provided, including covered garage and elevator to lobby. The staff was the best. We had a truly amazing experience at Elizabeth Pointe, and heartedly recommend it, especially the Tradewinds suite. It's worth it!”

“The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful and friendly. The location is great. It appears to be undergoing an update, which will be nice. It's showing its age a bit in some areas. But, overall, it is a good option.”

“I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Seaside Amelia Hotel, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The hotel boasts an excellent location, right on the water, offering serene views and a tranquil atmosphere. One of the highlights of this hotel is its proximity to local attractions and activities. Everything you might want to do is just a stone’s throw away, making it a perfect base for exploring the area. The breakfast served at the hotel was another pleasant surprise. A good range of options, all fresh and tasty, provided the perfect start to our days. It’s always great to have a hearty breakfast before setting out for a day of adventure. In terms of cleanliness, the Seaside Amelia Hotel met all expectations. The rooms, though showing a bit of wear and tear, were impeccably clean and well-maintained. The carpets and hallways, although slightly weathered, added to the charm of the place and did not detract from the overall cleanliness. What truly set this hotel apart, however, was the staff. Each member of the team was friendly, approachable, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Their warmth and hospitality greatly enhanced our experience. In conclusion, the Seaside Amelia Hotel is a wonderful choice for anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and conveniently located place to stay. While the rooms and common areas might show a little age, the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff more than make up for it. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and look forward to returning in the future!”

“Had such a lovely stay here, I don’t know what everyone’s problem is in these reviews. Sure, the place has character. It’s old. The walls might have some stains. Grow up. Have you ever been to Europe? This is a great hotel. If you want a vanilla hotel experience go to a Holiday Inn. Me? I split a bottle of wine with my partner on the balcony outside of our room while we watched the sunset. The room was clean and our gorgeous bathtub did not once run out of hot water. Would definitely stay again.”

“I’ve stayed at this hotel twice in the last few weeks. It was great and it had everything we needed. My kids and I were treated with so much hospitality and great service. The bar manager Doug was the best. He remembered my kids and I on our second visit and remembered our orders. He even brought me my drink at the pool without asking. You can tell he is the heartbeat of this hotel and it wouldn’t be an awesome experience without him. The continental breakfast was so good and was much more than I expected. All of the staff was very kind and accommodating. I loved the bicycles/chairs/wagons available to us to take to the beach. I will stay here again soon. My kids miss Doug lol.”
