“Dr. Lewis is the first vet that was able to assess my dog Lincoln without making him nervous. Banfield and full circle muzzled him. Dr. Lewis was able to easily assess him and even hand feed him a treat. Obviously, too- the environment was the issue. Having a mobile vet available to our area is a lifesaver.”

“They always try to accommodate you. Especially when you pup isn’t feeling well. They worked him in yesterday…we had to wait awhile but they were able to see him before the weekend. I think my dogs have probably seen each of their vets over the years and I have always thought they do an excellent job. Thank you to the whole staff.”

“Dr. Mersereau gives medical care of the highest quality — the kind you’d want for your most-cherished friends, which is what my cats have been to me. She is absurdly intelligent but explains things in a way anyone can understand. She also is kind and has always treated my cats as individuals, rather than as a list of diagnoses/ailments. She has the ideal balance of tact and candor when there are tough discussions to be had and tough decisions to be made. All the people she has hired — vet techs as well as front office team members — are smart, compassionate, patient, and they return calls when they say they will. Dr. Mersereau and her team have routinely taken the time to educate me about my cats and point out things I may not have noticed that are important and shouldn’t be ignored. There is not a single negative thing I can think of about the Cat Clinic of Fernandina. I feel so fortunate to live in close proximity to this clinic so that my cats have been able to receive their medical care from Dr. Mersereau and her team.”

“Ashley helped us through a most difficult decision for our Maine Coon cat, "Jack". She and her staff are just the best. We are so thankful that people like her devote their careers to veterinary medicine and to helping pet owners with the most difficult end of life choices. We can not thank them enough.”

“This place continues to provide us with excellent veterinary care for our six year old poodle. We have been here from everything from routine visits to emergency care. We have seen three doctors at the practice and each one has been amazing to work with. The vet techs and front desk staff are also amazing. You won't be disappointed by bringing your fur friend here.”

“Our golden retriever, Gracie Rose, had a severe UTI and ear infection. They did thorough testing and treatment, giving an IV antibiotics and drops in the ears and gave us medicine to continue giving her at home! Very professional in every way!”

“This week I had to make the difficult decision to let my 13 year old cat, Oscar, cross the bridge. The team at Fernandina Beach Animal Clinic treated both Oscar and I with such care and compassion. I could not have handpicked kinder people to spend that sacred time with us. After he passed and I left, Dr Mc Donald and her assistant were still petting him. Their kindness and compassion did not end there. Today I opened the mailbox and this beautiful card with his paw and nose print was in there. They are absolutely the best!”
