“Long story short: my phone would not charge regardless how much I struggled and forced it to connect. I needed my phone working. My wife and son were traveling extensively and I'm 72. I needed a new phone, but with my son's knowledge to select the right one, and they wouldn't be home for six more days. With only 40 percent charge left, I had to leave it off, and check it briefly a couple times a day. I went to Batteries Plus to get a new battery, hoping that would buy me more time. Mike Fox at the San Jose store informed me that unfortunately they are not always shipped from the factory fully charged. He took my phone and worked on it intently behind the counter for several minutes. He then handed it back to me and said, "It's not perfect, but it's better. It is charging."
