Best Western Gateway to the Keys

Hotels
Hours: Best Western Gateway to the Keys is a solid hotel offering a good value for the money. It is perfectly located as the gateway to the Florida Keys, right off Highway 1, making travel very convenient. The location provides great proximity to many restaurants, stores, a gas station, a liquor store, and a large Walmart. The hotel itself has a nice beach vibe. Rooms are generally described as large, clean, and comfortable, providing a restful night’s sleep, though some guests noted they are dated and one mentioned a musky smell. Minor issues with sticking or loud doors were occasionally reported. Amenities are a highlight, featuring a nice and well-maintained pool area where staff are accommodating. Some guests enjoyed a relaxing hot tub and a BBQ area, while others noted there was no hot tub. Free parking and free WiFi are provided. The complimentary breakfast is frequently praised as delicious, pretty good, and having a better selection than other basic hotels, including items like eggs, sausage, waffles, and yogurt. However, the breakfast room is considered far too small, leading to waits for tables. Some guests wished for longer weekend hours and more milk options beyond whole milk. Customer service receives exceptional praise, with staff described as nice, kind, and going above and beyond, greatly enhancing the stay. The hotel is noted as military friendly. Overall, it is viewed as a decent, solid choice for a short stay or quick overnight visit, offering reasonable pricing and great convenience.
