Preserved old buildings from the wilder days of Florida. The main building of the complex is a former hotel 6 historic museum.This is not the most exciting museum but the grounds and river walk can help make it worth the trip.

Very eclectic, hotel, home, schoolhouse, clothing, toys, music, painting, jewelry, boats, black history. All volunteers where enthusiastic! Parking is included in the admission in a small lot by the railroad tracks not easily located.

Experience South Florida's story from Tequesta Peoples & Spanish explorers to railroad & real estate barons. Our 3 museums are surrounded by lush tropical landscape on the New River in an historic village that has remained untouched for over 100 years. The History Museum is housed in the 1905 New River Inn (National Register Property). Pioneer House Museum (1907) is set as if the family is coming home at any moment for Sunday supper. And the Schoolhouse Museum is ready to receive its first class of Broward students in 1899 - right down to period wooden desks and McGuffey Readers.
