I've been visiting this eye doctor for 9 years. Pam and Marcia are so friendly and helpful with prescriptions, lenses and frames. It is truly a joy seeing them every year.

I strongly advise against engaging with this practice. I have visited the office twice within a span of five months, and both experiences were unsatisfactory.
During my initial visit, I ordered a year’s supply of contact lenses at the front desk and completed the payment. I was informed that the lenses would arrive within a few business days. However, after two weeks, I returned to the office to inquire about the status of my order, only to be informed that the doctor was waiting for confirmation from me regarding my satisfaction with the lenses—despite the fact that they were the same brand and prescription I had been using for the past decade. The receptionist unjustly placed blame on me for not initiating a follow-up call and was unprofessional demeanor.
I returned for a second visit to rectify an issue with my eyeglass prescription, which I was obliged to pay for out of pocket, although this was not my primary concern. Following my eye examination, I checked the updated eyeglass prescription provided and discovered that it was identical to the previous one, despite my expressed difficulties with that prescription during the consultation. I had to return to the office once again to have it corrected.
With over 25 years of experience wearing glasses and contact lenses, I can assert that these encounters represent the most disappointing service I have received in an ophthalmologist's office. I will be going to a new practice that demonstrates a greater understanding of ophthalmology and provides better basic customer service.

I own up to not everyone can handle kids- especially a two year old who needs special glasses.
We had a prescription and everything needed- just needed to order glasses. One particular office staff seemed to hold an attitude the entire visit- and I had to stand there awkwardly as she openly talked about how my 2 year old didn’t want to sit still for a PD (that I had already measured at home to make this as easy as possible).
I left this visit feeling embarrassed, and honestly unwilling to give this location my money. I’ll see if nemours can refer us to another place that might be kinder to a 2 year old, and keep their opinions on how small children want to move to themselves.

Frustrating experience making appointments so I have given up and am moving on to another provider.. On the web site, it asks you to select an appt time, but it doesn't hold the time immediately, so at the end of the questionnaire, I was told the time was already taken. I repeated this process four times before I actually got an appointment Then, a staff member called and left a message stating my appointment was cancelled because my benefits had run out. I tried to call right back but the office was still closed when they called me. Had the office investigated further, they would have realized I have no benefits -- I was going to pay for my services and glasses using surplus HRA benefits. I need two pairs, so it would have been a good sale for them. Instead, I'm trying the new Pearl location on St. John's Parkway and will leave a review for them after I get my glasses.

I had a very disappointing experience at this place. It took them multiple attempts to provide me with the correct contact lenses, which was incredibly frustrating. To make matters worse, they gave my lenses to a random person without even asking for their identification. Their lack of professionalism and poor communication made the whole process even more difficult. The front office workers are also very RUDE. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for reliable and efficient eye care services.

I love bringing my ASD kid here! We've tried plenty of other eye doctor in Jacksonville but they don't have the patience for my kiddo!

Absolutely amazing experience!!! Doctor Roger’s was more than patient with my anxious ASD kiddo. She spoke calmly and rephrased questions in ways that my son was better equipped to answer.

Very happy with the level of care of I received as well as the attention to what my benefits covered vs. what did not.After having a very frustrating experience with my last eye doctor I appreciated how much all of the staff listened to my concerns and issues and helped me to feel comfortable and heard.

Hello! I made an appointment with Dr. Carlos Villa and confirmed by email and text. When I arrived They said to call me That never happened they did They changed the doctor at check-in online and then canceled the appointment because they didn't accept the insurance. I wasted my time. Also online said WE WELCOME ALL INSURANCES.If you don't have vision insurance, we can still help you.The customer service never suggested other information or options, even if I would like to pay from my pocket. Some employees don't want to do the work or help.They could send an email or leave a message. I suggested improving the communication skills of the staff.Thank you.Hello! This office is VERY unorganized and the front office is rude. I have an appointment scheduled for Friday at 4pm, received a call from the doctor saying she did not feel like having the last appointment on a Friday if I could please call to reschedule. I called several times with nobody answering, when I finally did get an answer they had already canceled my appointment and told me they were booked for the day. The lady at the front office then proceeded to try to tell me well if you don't confirm your appointment or do the paperwork we send out then we will go ahead and put you to reschedule. When I asked her when did they send that information to reschedule or rebook she couldn't answer the question. Then she proceeded to tell me something else about insurance when I cash pay. It seems like the doctor wanted to hit a nice golf game on a Friday instead of taking the last appointment and cares nothing about your schedule or the appointment that you make. If you have kids and have a busy schedule I suggest you go somewhere else
