“I'm writing this review to share my experience with Brittney from the Betty Griffin house. Although, I was fortunate enough to find an apartment before needing to enter the center. My experience in calling many... up to 50 different shelters for domestic abuse were for lack of a better word, disappointing. Until.
I came along Britney. Not only did she take time to listen to my needs but she comforted me. Just tone and inflection put me at ease. I did not feel at any time embarrassed or nervous that I was going to be passed along to the next place. I was given different resources and very important information regarding the area I was going to be moving to. For an example, Brittney let me know about bus schedules ie they don't run on Sundays. This information is important to me, as I am a chef and weekends are an absolute must for most restaurants. This in the future could have opposed a problem for me. Letting me know up front gave me the opportunity to go out and get an electric bike that I will use at my new residence. That's just one example of information that means a lot for future, especially if you're looking to move to a new area.
