My son just did his birthday bear here The experience was awful. Just kept getting pitched about buying things or about promotions going on. He didn’t get to rub the heart put it on his heart. Nothing before they just put it in the bear.

The employees were super nice but I’m super disappointed in the lack of communication or labeling about what outfits appropriately fit which bears. We got a simple birthday bear and the pink and purple pajamas for our baby that just turned 1 and the pjs are not meant for a regular bear. I am constantly fixing it and I just hate I wasted my money on it. /:

It’s not a store but a small kiosk in the middle of a mall. Fun but small selection. Staff was nice but I wish I knew it wasn’t the entire store

We went today for my twins to make their 1st birthday bears super excited and the employees were extremely rude to us and completely ruined the experience. I was really disappointed in what should have been a fun memory. They also commented how the birthday bears fall apart quickly because they’re such poor quality after we paid for accessories. Do NOT use this location.

Grateful for this location for those in North Central FL! It’s worth the drive. Each visit has been excellent with the staff and the stuffies. The staff we met were knowledgeable, helpful, and worked well with the kids. Our kids leave feeling thrilled every time! 🧸

Took my 2 kids here tonight for their birthday bear. There was 2 women working and one had a seizure while my kids were picking their bears. The other attendant was AMAZING! Not only did she help the co worker but after she helped her she came over and still did an AWESOME job with my kids. Did the full song and dance for their bears with them! It was our first experience at build a bear and definitely a memorable one. I hope the other worker is ok and THANK you so much to the one who still made my kids birthday experience great!

I went to this location in the mall on a Friday. It was my first individual experience with Build a Bear. I was not disappointed! I purchased the bear for my wife who wanted one to commemorate the birth of our daughter. Fern was the sweetest, most helpful employee I could ask for. They were out of the recording devices to add my daughter's heartbeat. Fern and another associate were able to improvise. Despite the fact that this location is located inside a busy mall they got it to work and you can hear the heartbeat in the bear perfectly. Fern also helped me to pick the perfect accessories for a bear modeled after my little girl. I will definitely visit this location again in the future.

Called the store to ensure they had a product. Employee verified that not only did they have the product, but they were putting the item out today, as we speak. Drove 2 hours to get to the location, walked up to the stand and was met with “ohhhh we were hoping you wouldn’t come today”. Because the item was not actually available for me to purchase. Despite the box sitting on the table in front of us. No creative solution was offered, and the one employee who was attempting to make a solution was shot down repeatedly by manager Renee. Overall extremely disappointed with the handling of the situation. I don’t blame the employee who had received incorrect information, I blame store management. As the only Central Florida Build-a-Bear outside of Orlando really, this was a huge bummer to not be able to trust the location.

Renee by far was the rudest BUILD A BEAR employee I have ever been in contact with. She was rude to multiple people from the very beginning of my experience, telling parents to “chill out” and cutting them off for asking questions. It’s so sad when the lady she’s training (Jasmine) was so much nicer and professional. Keep Jasmine she’s great!

This is just a kiosk, it’s super misleading when you search locations and Gainesville comes up because google made it look like an actual store. The staff was friendly though.
