Good service, got a credit union bank draft so to cut interest in half. Bought a 20 20 kia soul. Car did not a owners manual. For a car that new, it should be carr max responsibility to provide me one. Great car. Please provide me a owners manual. Thankyou.

This was our third purchase from this location. We were disappointed with this experience. Customer service was poor. Our “expedited pickup” took a number of hours. Aside from the person who greets you, staff seems generally disinterested and unmotivated.

Bought a car in early November, (financed through the bank l use) and then took advantage of their 10 day return policy when the vehicle l bought from Carmax (Honda CRV) started having speedometer issues. I then returned the car and bought a new car (took out a 2nd loan through the bank l use, under the impression l would be getting that 20,000 dollar checkk within the 2 week timeframe) . Originally they told me it would take between 10-15 days to issue the first refund check for the Honda CRV. It has now been close to 2 months with no refund check for the Honda CRV. I have called and spoken to many people who clearly have no idea where the missing 20,000 dollars is. This has been a long process and l know it will get resolved, its just going to drag ass. Be careful using Carmaxs 10 day return policy.

Went there to look for a car. With a high possible purchase mind you. Our sales guy was nice but didn’t seem to have the drive to actually sell the car, nor didn’t really seem to have much knowledge. The fact they don’t have a financial advisor on site is mind crazy. It’s kind of take what we give you or get or get screwed. On top a no haggle price? Wanted to test drive a vehicle with a slight scent of cigarettes and no room for negotiation. It’s like I how do you guys sell cars?

Bought a 2019 BMW X3M40 and spent about $4,000 on a Carmax plan. Within a few weeks I needed new breaks and tires. In addition, the car started to have leaks in the cabin. The warranty did not cover any of this. Not only is the warranty useless, Carmax will sell you a defective car! Never buy from here, horrible place! Manager also is very rude, arrogant, and quite frankly useless.

This process was way too long too many people I had to talk to too much. Had to be done and not really any guidance from the manager at the Gainesville store. I was supposed to go and pick up and leave because Gainesville is three hours away from me I did all my paperwork online, there was one lady from the Gainesville store and she helped me out tremendously. Everybody else I could’ve done without.

I reserved the vehicle online, after securing financing from my personal bank; their interest rate was half what CarMax quoted me. I spoke to a couple people on the phone to coordinate the Express Pick-up, and submitted all financing information as well.
When we arrived, the vehicle was still on the lot, and was extremely dirty. Apparently, nobody communicated to the actual store that we were coming, had scheduled an express pick-up, and thus prepared the truck as we were promised (cleaned and fueled). While we were only there for about 45 minutes, we were told 15-20 at most, and had scheduled a family event based off that information.
While driving home, my wife commented that the vehicle shook every time I touched the brakes. I noticed it as well. She also mentioned a whistling sound, which we couldn't identify. I took the truck to my local CarMax, only to learn that the brakes and rotors were shot, and the roof was so dented, the antenna cover couldn't properly seat. (Credit to my local CarMax for the repairs; however, I didn't have my brand new vehicle for a WEEK.)
This is my third vehicle I've purchased through CarMax, and by far, the worst experience. There seemed to be absolutely no communication between whatever central office there is and the store. How could a 125-point check be completed, and yet let me drive off the lot with bad brakes and an extremely dented roof?
I will not purchase through CarMax again.

Not only are they slow at everything but they sold me a car 10 days ago and today it started smoking. Well they sold me a car without an oil cap but yet claim it went through an inspection lol check everything when you go there....

It took quite a while to get everything completed however my main issue was that they couldn't print the forms before I signed them electronically so that I could read them when printed. I could not read the forms on the screen the font was not big enough to read.

I had requested a 2013 odyssey for test drive in Gainesville. In the phone they had told me that it would take 1 week to send the car so ı cancelled the shipment and made a test drive appointment for ocala. Then ı got an email which says my car is shipped so ı went to Gainesville location for test drive. The car want ready for test drive. It was dirty, remote key was not working and the electrical doors, trunk was not opening. I lost time to go to appointment and got nothing…

Went there to test drive a car and they were short staffed. I offered to schedule an appointment for the next day. Showed up an hour early in case they were still short staffed.
I waited probably 20-30 mins watching 4 people standing around with nothing to do.
I checked the app to see the car was in route to Georgia. They confirmed it was picked up and in route to Georgia.
Thanks CarMax this is totally how car buying should be! Exploiting your labor and paying them peanuts while charging as high of a price on your vehicles as possible!

It was very unfortunate that the car I got for my wife was at this location. Communication was terrible, staff was not knowledgeable and it took hours over the course of two days to get an expedited pick up completed. I just wanted to buy a car but they made it so stressful for my wife and I. I drove two hours, uploaded all documents and called multiple times to make sure everything was set up right. My hope is that they get some more people trained and increase their communication and efficiencies. I would recommend that if you see a car at this location that you like, pay the fee to have it delivered to your local store. If this is your local store, don’t hesitate to shop around.

Had an appointment to possibly sell them a car. representative Patrick had no interest in getting a full appraisal done. Gave me a range that Carmax would buy it at, I knew what the range is sitting at home. What a waste of my time.

I sold my truck to CarMax over 2 months ago. Since I sold it to them I had to make 2 car payments because they repeatedly made mistakes getting the loan paid of with my bank (it took them 3 attempts). Then they tried to tell me they were not responsible for repaying me the interest accrued on the loan in the 2 months it took them to pay it off. They did end up paying the interest, but over all, a terrible experience and I suggest going anywhere but there.
