Very nice. Large and clean. Nice outdoor pool with gas grill, firepit and outdoor seating area. Just wish Comfort would have better coffee available.

The hotel is conveniently located but the room was disappointing. The lighting in the room was poor, the door to the bathroom kept swinging open and blocking access to the microwave and coffee maker. The control to raise and lower the window shade is not close to the window and isn’t labeled. There was only one hand towel and only one wastebasket for the whole suite. Directions for the TV were not clear at all. Breakfast was good but the utensils, plates and napkins were very flimsy.

This was a very nice one-night stay. We came to attend an engagement party in Gainesville, and then left early the next morning for some time on the Rainbow River. Checkin was easy, as well as checkout. The room was generally very clean, save for the floor needing a proper mopping. We spilled some drops of water and wiped it up. The paper towel came up pretty dirty. This is typical as the housekeeping usually uses swiffer-type wipes, and it usually just moves the dirt around. We always wear house shoes, so it wasn't a big deal. The king bed was very comfortable with pristine sheets, so easily 5 stars on that.We were on the 5th floor, so I think that's why the water pressure from the shower head was fairly low flow. The sink and toilet had no issues, though. The air conditioning worked well, thankfully, since it was a heat index of over 100 degrees when we checked in.Breakfast was complete with waffle makers, industrialized eggs, sausage patties and links, cereal, toast, etc. The food quality was, well, what one would expect from packaged items, but everything was well-presented.We would very happily stay here again. The location is good, though I wouldn't tempt fate by leaving anything visible in the car.

Great location. Breakfast much improved over past stays. Stay here often. Stayed 2 separate nights past 6 days and found same issue in both rooms: disgusting dirty floors. See pics. I had to wipe down floors myself so my feet didn’t stick to them Please MOP the floors Swifter doesn’t do the job. No mops seen on housekeeper cart. Usually my go-to hotel but not sure that’s going to continue.Could not connect to wi-fi both staysRooms: Floors need to be deep cleaned and mopped.

Hotel was very clean. The room we stayed in was a lot larger than I was expecting. It had 2 beds and then a half of a partition and a couch with stools to it, so their was plenty of sitting or relaxing space. Outside their is a grill and fire pit you're able to use. We did swim in the pool which was advertised as heated but most definitely wasn't. But in all honesty in this fl heat it was more refreshing than if it had been heated.Continental breakfast was surprising good, i was shocked to see a crockpot of corned beef hash in it!Overall it was a great stay.

We had an early surgery appointment at Shands, so we opted to stay overnight close to the hospital.Let me just say - the bed is sooo comfortable, y'all! Usually, I have a hard time sleeping, but the bed was so comfy that I fell asleep immediately.Everything was clean and well maintained. All the staff that we interacted with were super friendly. This is going on our favorite list in the event we have another early appointment.

I am currently staying in the hotel due to business, and have had one of the worst experiences ever and I travel for a living. I have never stayed in a hotel that does not clean your room if you are a long term guest because they “prioritize guests visiting for football games”- words that were said to me by the manager Mike. When I checked in I was advised they would clean the room every 3 days unless requested prior to the 3 days. I checked in on the 16th and my room was not cleaned after the 3rd day. I had requested my room to be cleaned on the 24th since it had not been cleaned since the day I checked in when I called the front desk to ask why it had not been done yet. I was advised the request would be put in, unfortunately it did not get cleaned. On the 25th I went to the front desk in person and request for my room to be cleaned, when I encountered the manager Mike who was very rude and nasty when I tried asking questions in regard to housekeeping for future reference, he told me “ I don’t have time to deal with this because he have other guests” when he stated that there was NO ONE in the lobby but him and I. My room finally got cleaned on the 26th, 10 days after my check in…. My second issue while staying at this hotel happened today, as I had difficulty breathing due to bad air quality in the room which leads me to believe there may be mold, mildew, or just bad air quality over all in the room. So I went down to the front desk and was attended to by another rude lady (I couldn’t get her name). She tried to make every excuse when I asked her if I could please be moved to another room as I was having difficulty breathing. She gave me the run around for about 20 minutes and was very unpleasant. She finally changed my room and asked how long it would take me to move my things. I advised her to give me a couple minutes as I needed to pack everything to move, I have been staying here for 2weeks now and have quite a few things to move. After a while she came up very rudely again and told me I needed to hurry up and get my stuff out as I had told her it would only take a few minutes. It is very inconsiderate to be rushed and treated as I have been by the manager and the employees. My third issue is the hotel modified my reservation without advising me and changed my check out date to 13 days sooner that it actually would have been. How can a hotel even do that without letting you know? I did not ask nor give permission for my reservation to be changed. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism and rudeness at any hotel. I would NEVER recommend anyone to stay at this particular location.

I stayed here on my way to and from my destination. The first room/night, there was no curtain for the shower and the toilet seat had heavy yellow staining. On the way back for the second room/night, I was awoken by guests in the room next to me from 1 AM until almost 3. My room was connected to theirs so even if they weren’t playing music and talking and being loud, I could hear everything crystal clear. I finally went downstairs to see if the front desk could do anything and I decided to just ask if I could switch rooms which was very inconvenient, but I decided I would’ve rather done that than play games or cause something to be hostile. I switched rooms and definitely missed a lot of sleep that night before a long 9 hour drive. If staying here, I would recommend requesting a room that isn’t connected to another. The room that I moved to had a coffee maker that uses K cups and they had the wrong type of coffee refills (no k cups,) which was disappointing in the morning. Housekeeping was also going around and knocking on all of the rooms at 9 AM. I will never understand why hotels do this when check out is at 11. Given the night I had before, with no sleep, I wanted to sleep in and check out as late as possible (11.) I feel like the hotel has a different, unpleasant odor in the common areas and hallways each time. The beds are extremely comfortable which was probably the best part, and everything else, except for what was mentioned above seemed clean/cozy. Overall, it’s not terrible and I would probably stay there again.

The hotel was filthy, the roof was caved in and leaking in the lobby. We specifically chose this hotel because it was the only one in the area we were traveling that would allow 6 in one room (2 adults and 4 children). When we got to our room, there were only four pillows, one shampoo, one conditioner, two towels and no sheets for the pull out sofa bed. This suite was not fit to accommodate 6 people. The four pillows were filthy so I placed them in the closet and we brought our own up from the car. When we unrolled the sofa bed and noticed there were no sheets prepared for it, we saw blood stains all over it. I immediately called the front desk and expressed my concerns. We rolled up the sofa bed back to the couch and made due with just the two beds (with our own pillows and blankets) It was after midnight and we had been driving for over 6hrs so leaving with four children was not an option at that moment. We checked out as soon as we woke up in the morning. Two days later there was an additional unauthorized charge on our credit card for $100 (more than the original room charge) and I immediately called the hotel, the front desk stated that it was charged because "all the pillows went missing when we left" I said the four filthy pillows that I put in the closet??!" She stated "oh housekeeping didn't look there." You mean to tell me that housekeeping has not even opened the closet in the past four days after we checked out?? That just shows how they "clean" the rooms there. I have disputed the charge and was supposed to hear from the manager as soon as they came in at 3pm, but of course they did not call. This was the worst hotel experience in my 40 years of life and I will never stay at another comfort suites.

We were in town for a softball tournament and are so happy with our stay. We were told breakfast was served 630-10am. We had early start times and would be leaving the hotel at 630. The hotel was accommodating and opened breakfast by 615. Many other softball players from other teams were eating at that time as well. The beds are comfortable and the rooms updated. Very nice for the rate. We will be back!

Top 5 Comfort Suites ever stayed in. From check in with the front desk clerk who was outstretched (her name was Nature), to the very clean rooms and comfortable beds. This is a top notch Choice Hotel. The property is well kept and the location is great...about 5-7 minutes from the 75. We only grabbed some muffins for breakfast but the sitting area looked great and the food area was clean and well stocked.

The staff was wonderful. Checked in late and the young lady at the desk was very considerate and polite. Left my credit card in the room key envelope when I left. Later in the day after I had determined where the credit card was I checked my email for the phone number to call them. Already had an email from them to let me know they had it. Ladies at the day desk were as wonderful and the night desk. Room was very clean and couldn't have asked for a more comfortable bed. Just minutes from Shands hospital. Overall a great experience.

What a great little find on our road trip from MI to FL. I usually stick with Hiltons but was desperate!! We needed to stop to break it up and picked somewhere a little further then we expected. I called to tell them we would be checking in at 0100 and the lady was so nice! We arrived at 0200 and Sebastian at the front desk was so amazing and helpful! The room was very big! It had 2 queens and a pull out. The bathroom was HUGE and the sinks and toilet were separated which is nice when getting ready! The entire hotel and rooms were very clean and the outside fire pit area looked amazing! I would highly recommend this hotel and I would stay here first choice next time in the area!

I highly recommend Comfort Suites for anyone visiting UF Health Shands Hospital. My father was air lifted there from Sarasota and was in the ICU for almost 3 weeks. We had no idea how long he would be there, but sales manager Karl was so understanding and compassionate. He locked in a Shands rate for us and allowed us to continue extending our reservation as needed. The other standout staff members were Sebastian and the woman who tended to the breakfast each morning. The free breakfast is above and beyond - make-your-own waffles, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and sausage, along with toast, bagels, cereal, coffee, juice, etc. There's also coin laundry on site which came in handy as our stay continued to extend. The location is also minutes from the hospital. We will definitely stay there again when we have to return for follow-up appointments.
