The Oaks Mall in Gainesville is a charming retail destination with more than 100 stores. It features major department stores, specialty shops, and jewelry stores, offering something for every taste and budget. The mall is accessible, clean, and has a food court with a good selection. While the appearance feels a little outdated and some find it not what it used to be, it is considered new and improved with plenty of open stores. It remains a nice place to walk around and have a good time.
Honestly even in November 2026, the Oaks Mall still has it going on. Walked around after hitting the Micanopy Fall Festival and it didn't disappoint. Not too many vacant storefronts and honestly a decent amount of people. I was pleasantly surprised. Will definitely go back if ever back in the Gainesville region !
