I needed an exchange while traveling due to a technical issue with my vehicle. Corporate confirmed twice that I would not be required to pay for the gas that I used. The attendant and her supervisor insisted that I would have to pay $42 for a quarter tank of gas. This branch also confirmed that I would have a comparable exchange, which was not honored. It was better for me to deal with the annoyance of the first rental than deal with this branch. Very disappointing.

The young staff was friendly.The car was in really bad condition. When I turned on the wipers, they kept making a noise, and if I drove for a long time, the warning light came on, which made me anxious. It would be good if you inspect the car properly and take action to ensure that you rent it. As a driver, I was anxious.

I picked up the rental on 21 January on the 2nd day. I'm already shown engine oil service do now, I shouldn't have to go through inconvenience of getting a oil change when I rented a vehicle from your Hertz agency. Everything should be fine because now I'm running vacation time we're up at Columbia, South Carolina Fort Jackson watching a graduation not to deal with this. I expect someone from the office to give me a call back to fix this or resolve the situation. Whether it is some money back or free day rental. Because it looks like I'll have to get a oil change in the process of this rental agreement. .Roy davis.

Rude, Smart MOUTH Rental Agent at HERTZ IN AIRPORT Can't return car to Hertz in Ocala FL USA. Here for the Death of my BROTHER. Also received injury during visit while he Died and they won't let me return car 1/2 a mile away without charging me a absolutely ridiculous amount of penalties for dropping in Ocala FL USA. Plus I'm Disabled. WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND HERTZ CAR RENTAL & WOULD DEFINITELY WARN FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

BEWARE - Hertz Hurts - go to another car rental - my car was stolen while traveling - promised a managers special rate on the phone that was the same as the online rate - bait and switch - was charged different rate during a stressful time - customer service insensitive and unconcerned - they also tried to charge me a $350 for returning the car to the same location - STAY AWAy

This location rented me a cigarette smelling vehicle then charged me $200 because the car smelled like smoke at return. When I tried getting my money back I was told it’s my fault and I should’ve told them before I left with the vehicle. They also charged me another $200 because they saw pet hair in the vehicle, which is something I’ve never been charged for by a rental car company before… Do they not clean and inspect the vehicle themselves before renting it out again? Trying to get every penny they can out of me, I paid more in fees than I did the for the actual car rental.

Flight from Atlanta to Gainesville was delayed. Called this location 3 times from 10:30 - 10:40 PM and no one answered the phone. Hours of operation are supposed to be through midnight, so either they aren't advertising correct hours, or they just can't be bothered to answer the phone when customers call late at night. This is the second Hertz location this week that didn't answer the phone during listed business hours. Unfortunately I have to rent from Hertz when traveling for work or I'd never rent another car from these jokers.EDIT: Finally got through to an employee who offered to stay on site because multiple customers on the same flight have called. Rating bumped up to 3 stars because of Jessica's outstanding customer service.

Just recently received a car from here. It seemed clean at first. But, a day into my rental I dropped the car key under the seat. While getting low to retrieve them I seen old food & trash up under the passenger seat that was left there from a previous use. Later during the night, I came out to the car to get some of my belongings & surprise to me! The car is ROACH INFESTED. I seen about 20 full grown roaches running around the car! I am beyond disgusted!

BEWARE! If I could select no stars, I would.Reserved and pre-paid and when we picked up the car they just told us to go pick out a car. We did - (which had some previous damage to it, and was NOT CLEANED). 2 DAYS after we returned it, they email us trying to say we caused the damage!This same thing happened to a friend of ours and its funny how its always $1500. We are speaking to our atty.
