Highly satisfied. Well trained, friendly, helpful staff both at the registration desk and in the back office. I was part of a nearly 30 person group that stayed here during the second week of February 2024. Working with this hotel's staff - from getting early quotes, through securing a block of rooms, fixing booking mistakes, overcoming challenges of participants not having (functioning) credit cards to secure the reservation, last minute changes, etc. Carlene and Christy could not have been more wonderful to work with. They always communicated quickly, were always client oriented, and found solutions instead of complaining about problems. Stellar!

I would suggest you avoid this property - at least until renovations are done. This place is a mess. The carpet is very dirty. The elevator didn’t work right. There was no place to plug in a phone charger near the bed. I didn’t even know there were still rooms like this in 2024. On the bright side, the young man that checked me in at 11:30pm was very nice.

THE MOST important thing to me is customer service and that was delivered 100%.Rooms: The rooms need updating, especially the mattress and pull out couch.

The site is currently undergoing construction. The shower tub had water in it before our use and it doesn’t drain completely. Additionally, the shower diverter valve is challenging to use and the shower curtain is too short to prevent water from splashing outside the tub. The hand soap seems impossible to wash off.On the positive side, the room is clean and quiet, and we appreciate the excellent customer service from the front desk to the breakfast staff. Chelsea and Andrew are super nice.

Since it was under construction I will rate it with that in mind. The front desk did not explain the rate differences between the downtown site listed on your website and this one nor the 50$ additional service charge. The room was serviceable but not up Hilton standards. The real difficulty was with room service. I ordered a drink, salad and fries. There was no salad and It was brought in a plastic bag. No apologies no further suggestion. When checking out I was charged for the full meal. As for the $50 extra service charge that was still unexplained. My total bill was over $200 for a substandard experience. It was not a Hilton experience. I would never stay at a Hilton garden againNoteworthy details: Subpar Hilton experience

Wouldn't recommend this hotel the manager is terrible. We weren't able to cancel our stay when we booked as a team for a baseball tournament while everyone else was able to cancel. then we were moved rooms while we there. Not a very good experience. I would suggest another hotel definitely not this one.

Top notch staff, clean comfortable rooms. The quality of the food needs work, some equipment failures. They do sell liquor but do not have a bar. Although, the staff tells me that the front foyer will be renovated shortly. I assume they plan on putting a bar in.

The counter staff were quite helpful, they try to help where they can but they are limited by the hotel’s resources, what a letdown to the Hilton name. Have stayed in Hilton many times outside of US and never imagine the US standard to be so low. The room does not provide complimentary water and apparently water is only for guests with “status” and there’s no water kettle too so the only way to get hot water is to fetch it from the restaurant. When the shower gel/ shampoo run out after 6pm, good luck getting a refill because it will only be available the following morning. Room is very dated and the bed is way too soft providing very little lumbar support, likely overdue for replacement. Location is convenient to get food and grocery. Overpriced room for such basic room.Food & drinks: 5-10mins to nearby restaurants and grocery stores like publix

Unfortunately, my apartment has termites and I needed to vacate for a few days for a fumigation process. I picked this hotel due to the location to my apartment and proximity to the bus stop (I'm a local). Being in close proximity to the major bus routes is a must for me. In the past, I have had issues with Hilton hotel staff that give the canned customer service but otherwise cranky people that don't seem to wanna be there. Not this location. The staff here have been especially friendly for a chain hotel. On my first day, the breakfast was comped. The dinner is overpriced but quite good. The staff in general seem to want to accommodate whenever reasonable and possible. The rooms get a 4 star because the walls are thin and sometimes could hear my neighbor's TV. But overall a 5-star experience thus far.

I had a wonderful experience at the Hilton Garden Inn in Gainesville, and let me break down why it's a keeper. Location is top-notch — just a 10-minute Uber ride away from both downtown Gainesville and the University of Florida campus. Even on game days, you're only looking at a 15-20 minute ride to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Perfect for Gator fans!We arrived early at 1 pm, and even though the official check-in time was 3 pm, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. A special shoutout to Andrew who kept us in the loop about room availability while we grabbed lunch nearby.Every member of the staff was exceptional. From the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant staff – everyone was pleasant and professional. We stayed in Room 226, a king room with a sofa sleeper that was spotlessly clean. The room also included conveniences like a mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig, and hairdryer. Plus, its location was ideal—far enough from the elevator and ice machine to be quiet, but not so far that it felt like a hike. As for noise, our room faced SW 33rd Ave, and we heard zero traffic. Now, a word on breakfast: It's not complimentary, which could be clearer for guests. While I wasn't confused, I saw others who were. A brief mention during check-in or a chalkboard sign could easily clarify this. The food quality was mediocre; I'd personally opt for extra reward points over a meal credit next time.On to the only significant issue — the towel. One of our bath towels had a strong, off-putting smell that resembled fresh baby vomit. This is an aspect where housekeeping could improve their quality control. Thoroughly inspecting towels for cleanliness and odors should be a standard procedure. Trust me, the odor was too pungent to be missed.Despite this one misstep, Hilton Garden Inn in Gainesville is definitely a solid choice in the area. The location, staff, and overall amenities make it a worthwhile stay, and I look forward to my next visit.

I am staying here because my company makes reservations for me. I would not recommend as a "Vacation " choice. When I was checking in Tuesday at 7:00 pm No One was at the desk due to the person at the front being away to accommodate another guest, stating Sorry I'm the only one here ? When I walked into my room it was horribly hot. There is cigurarett buts laying on the ground in their outside sitting area, yuk. There is no complementary Breakfast. For the price I would have paid if not for my company I would have canceled my reservations. I travel with my job, stay in a lot of Hilton hotels. I am not impressed with this stay.
