I have bought the same trimmer for 10 yrs now because I have the attachments that go with it. The brand has switched from Troy Bilt to craftsman. I have gone through about 4 of them and the last time I bought one in August it was almost $300. I have used it 3 times and I tried to use it today and the pull string was froze up. I figured it's not even 6 months old surely they'll replace it under warranty. Wrong answer. In fact they told me in no uncertain terms that I was gonna have to buy a new one. I was floored. I asked to speak to a manager and got a customer service manager who continued to tell me no. Before saying well we can send it off for you to have it fixed. I bought a new one, angry as hell. Determined that I was just going to return it with the new receipt. But I did not. I brought the new one back and asked again for them to make this right. The store manager who happened to be dealing with another angry refund customer did step in and inform the clerk that I did not need all the pieces to get it repaired. But then when they hand me this piece of paper to sign they say we'll it could cost you up to $90. Again I'm floored. I used this thing 3 times and the 4th it's bound up. How is this my fault, I literally put it away working and picked it up not working... The store manager pipes up with an explanation of manufacturers warranty vs customer caused damage. Again man, I used it like 3 times... I put it away working. I love Lowes but they are starting to really lack on the Customer Service side of things. Disappointed... Really hope they choose to take care of this.

Ok, buckle up. We buy a dishwasher in Gainesville from the Gainesville Lowe's on the 4th. My parents (who live in Ocala, this is a handy coincidence that matters later), offer to put it on their card so they can get the points and we can pay them back at our leisure. The dishwasher is supposed to arrive at my home in Gainesville on the 11th. That's lame but hey, it's $300 off a nice dishwasher. We can hand wash for a week. A flurry of texts leading up to the 11th from Lowe's confirm that they will drop off the washer on the 11th between 8 and noon. I MUST BE THERE. So we clear our schedule and extricate the old dishwasher in anticipation. Around 10:30 on D-day, I decide to check the little progress link to see real time updates. The real time update says the delivery date is now the 21st between 8AM and 8PM. So I call them to confirm, since I'd had phone calls texts, and emails saying it was coming on the 11th.After 45 minutes on hold, I'm told that yes, the dishwasher will arrive on the 21st and there's no explanation as to why it will be an extra 10 days. The rep digs a little more and says they can have the washer to us by the 16th. We can't wait that long, and now I don't believe them, so I ask the service rep to cancel the order. They say, "Well, we can't cancel the order, because it's set to be delivered today.""But you said it's set to be delivered the 21st.""It is. But it was originally scheduled to be delivered today. If you want to cancel it, you have to go to (Ocala address an hour away) to cancel it.""That's not my local store, and it wasn't even bought there. It was bought in Gainesville.""I see that but the store with the item in stock is in Ocala. The Just call them and they can cancel it."I ask the rep if there's anything else they can do as I've been on hold with them now for over an hour. Another twenty minutes and two extra holds later, it seems we've solve the problem. The delivery is canceled and I should be getting an email confirming such.I go to the local independent appliance store, buy a dishwasher, take it home, and install it. Normally that would be the end.EXCEPTThey didn't cancel the order. At this point, my dad in Ocala (Coincidence!) takes over since they aren't refunding his card. He's told all he has to do is redirect the delivery address to his house in Ocala. He will refuse to sign for it and they'll take it back and cancel the order. He's retired so he'll be there anyway so he plays along. The dishwasher comes, he refuses it, and they take it away.Lowe's still won't cancel the order. He goes down to the Ocala Lowe's where he's informed they can't cancel the order because it was placed in Gainesville and the only way to cancel the order is for him to DRIVE AN HOUR DOWN THE ROAD TO GAINESVILLE AND DO IT IN PERSON WITH HIS CARD. There's no way to do this over the phone, internet, nothing. The only way he can cancel an order for an item he never took possession of is to drive over 100 miles round trip.So he drives to Gainesville. In Gainesville, he's told they can't cancel the order because only the store delivering the dishwasher can cancel the order, so he'd have to go back to the Ocala store....(I know, right?)After some round and round conversation with three different managers in the Gainesville store, one of them HAND WRITES the process that the Ocala store needs to do to cancel the order and hands it to my dad to deliver the message for them because it's impossible for them to pick up a telephone, write an email, send a text, etc.Back in Ocala, a miracle happens, and the cryptic messaging from the one person in the entire Lowe's supply chain that knows how the system works unlocks the ability for them to cancel the order! So yeah, we're not buying from them again, and you probably shouldn't either.PS: WHO IS SARA? My name is literally right there. What an abs
