I did my own tax for years. Lately I used Mr. Black as I thought he might know more about tax rules. This year, in mid-March, I provided him all information and documents for tax filing. 3 months later in June, he sent me blank forms and asked me to fill in with the numbers I provided him! I asked him to file, he did not file until July. He said he asked IRS for an extension as he was busy with personal matters. I was out of the country and asked him when the deadline would be. He said mid-October, without saying anything about consequences. I paid the tax in October. Then a week later I received a letter from IRS saying I owed them the fine for being late, and the interests accumulated from May. I pointed out to him that it was his fault not to file until July, and not to inform the client any consequences of the second extension. He avoided sharing any responsibility due to his incompetency and carelessness. Not even an apology. It will be much safer and cheaper to use Turbo Tax and DIY.

Mike's been doing my taxes for years I've moved to CA but I just haven't found anyone I like better, so Mike's still my tax guy. Thanks for all you've done for me!
