“Ever since I moved to Florida over four decades ago I've LOVED Publix. Their stores are always clean, their staff notices folks staring @ stuff on the shelves as they "patrol"the aisles & ask if we need help finding something. If they don't have it , they'll check to see if they can get it, special order it, & call customers when it comes in. It's NOT exorbitantly expensive. Even when I was a broke-butt waitress, I could afford to buy good but not terribly expensive food. The baggers always WARMLY check to see if I would like them to take it out to the car, the exact opposite of some stores where the tone of voice is more like "I'll take it out if you insist". I'm a regular so they pretty much know I'll say no but they always ask as if there's nothing else they'd rather do. It came in handy when I fell back down on a log & fractured multiple vertebra!
