I recently bought some shoes and I noticed a little wear on the bottom while in the store, but didn’t mind as it was the last pair in my size. On the day I planned to wear them, I got dressed and spent a couple of hours at home before heading out. I had to change my outfit because the shoes were killing my feet. The right one gave me 2 blisters (makes sense that they looked worn, they were probably returned for this reason.) I went to return them today & while I did have the receipt, I couldn’t find the tags. I explained the issue to the cashier and he called the manager up. She took one look at them and told me she wouldn’t refund me. She said “they look like they’ve been worn” I said “yes, that’s what I told him - I did wear them around the house, but they damaged my feet.” I explained that most places will return shoes if they’re defected and cause injury, whether they’ve been worn or not and that in my case it was only for a few hours. She refused and all but called me a liar. I have personally overheard store management in this store (while shopping) explain to employees that they should never try to stop or question a shoplifter. So it’s ok for someone to steal merchandise, but an honest consumer that was injured by their product is snubbed & refused a refund. On an item that was clearly already returned. Make it make sense.

Be careful when doing exchanges at the store. I exchanged a t-shirt that I ordered online at this store and was told I would be given the same prices as what I paid online but I was lied to. I was told the reason I didn’t receive the same price was due to me using points. And was not given the receipt for the return until after the return and then rebuy was complete. After looking at the return receipt it clearly shows the reason my shirt was less when returned was due to a coupon used which gave 51 percent off. This receipt wasn’t given to me until after the return and purchase was completed on purpose so that I could not argue until after I had already bought the shirt. This is why I hate shopping and returning in store with old navy always the worst customer service imaginable.
