Over 15 billion with a B made annually by salvation army panhandling the malls and taking people's money for supposedly helping people that need help. They run a thrift shops profiting off free donations. They make quite a bit of profit. Salvation army takes in more then the shelters or church groups that feed the homeless yet gives the least in return. One months worth of food is one thing of bread, 110 calories. I walked five miles and haven't eaten in days, but to my disappointment that's all I got, Other then the guy that does nothing all day telling me he only makes $200,000 a year and pays out of pocket for the food. Then kinda barates me on why I don't have a job. Well sir I've worked my whole life, steel mills, farms, truck driving, heavy equipment, I've worked supplying building materials for two decades. I've been doing backbreaking concrete work until recently. I lived in a condo on the beach for many years and raised two kids that are in college. I had a much larger house 5 years before next to the lighthouse in St. Augustine. My truck was towed off illegally from work at UF. I was left stranded with nothing but the clothes on my back. My company I worked at was bought out and fired everyone there for cheaper workers. I went through a separation and was sleeping in my truck until it was taken and nothing i can do. I have nowhere to lay my head, my day is spend walking 30 to 40 miles, looking for food jobs & opportunities. I have noone but myself. I've cleaned out my stocks and 401k, crypto, and savings to pay my bills and keep up with skyrocketing gas and food prices. But the day comes when I can't function and need protein and nutrition to stay alive and am turned away with a piece of bread and talked to as I'm dirt for being there in the first place. I think the salvation army is fraudulent, They profit off the poor and do the least of any organizations. With the amounts of money that go into charities there should be no one hungry in America. None! I hope someone looks at what these ppl take in and how much they dish out before you decide to give your money. At least the head guy there who only makes $200,000 a year has a job curtisee of donations. But I don't get to eat because I don't have a job today. I don't drink, don't do drugs, don't beg, steal or borrow. Last night was extremely cold and damp. I don't get a lot of sleep and not enough calories to continue on. It hurts when ppl that have never sweated or worked an honest job in their life can look down their nose on someone that has. One thing is for certain All will be judged!

The Salvation Army has been a tremendous help to my family and me. They always seem to know exactly how to support people in difficult situations. Whenever I needed their help, they were there to guide me, offering kindness and direction. They are one of the few organizations that genuinely care, and you can truly feel their love and compassion. Thank you all—words alone cannot express how grateful I am!

I go here for the gathering of food on 2 season 13 at 7:00 p.m. and on Saturdays at 5:00 p.m.. Jasper and his crew of volunteers are highly religious and dedicated individuals backyard toward assisting the homeless and poor with free food meals and help in gathering some clothing that fit. These are individuals whom I am grateful for their assistance and love for all.
On a side note as far as the salvation army itself, I wish that it was still active with the community. I haven't actually seen for myself anything that they have been doing to help people in need for over two decades and throughout many locations of the US. I will admit, I am only one person and I have not spoken to too many people about it. But the ones that I have have said the same thing that I just did. Maybe we're just not looking in the same place, but it seems as if it is all advertisement and Christmas collections. I'm not really sure where their money is going as I have not researched it

What can I say about this place they're worthless they don't help anybody but their own stuff I went in there today to see about helping on a electricity bill I can understand if it's my phone call only but the lady that I talked to tell me something about there has to be a reason like a death in the family or some crap like that this is the reason why I don't help salvation army they don't help with anything at all play don't even care about the community I would recommend not going there I would recommend not doing anything for that salvation army I do know that whoever is above salvation army need to come here put somebody else who cares about the community in willing to help people out basically I couldn't get no help because I didn't have a death in the family or some crap like that and that's the reason why they give me get one star if there was zero Stars I would give them that

I called on several occasions for pick up of furniture that’s in excellent condition and Kathy NEVER returns my calls. I’m very disappointed and frankly I am frustrated with the unprofessional service rendered! Corporate/ management should take time to read the customer’s feedback in order to improve and put the customer FIRST!!

I use to work here!! UghThese people had me doing custodian workCleaning up rats catching rats setting rat trapsCooking and feeding kids for after school care in which I love ?inventory on everything.. Mopping everything... Sweeping.. Grounds keeper .. Cleaning the church and dining room.. Cleaning up p*** when the homeless people came over night and used the bathroom every where.. Cleaning offices.. Shopping.. And what took the cake' I had to clean the dumpster which hadn't been cleaned in years!! Boxes were matted down so deep, they brought me tools to dig it up SMH poop, dead rats all kinds of mess "health violations in all things I had to do... It's much more things I had to do" I had the job if 4 grown men' with all that being said**I had a heart attack on the job!! Dr. Told me not to go back until they released me to work again.. Time to go back I got fired because all of a sudden they wanted me to drive that big salvation truck sitting outside the front of the building!! Don't you have to have cdl class license for that??! Anyway most ridiculous job I ever had!! With all that being said' I could've sued them but I was so sick!! I wouldn't even go there for help in which I use to before I worked there!! This place made me sick literally??
