My experience with Shores was an amazing. I was recommended to this facility and the staff were incredibly nice and showed my puppy so much love! My pup received his 1st rounds of shots and the outcome was successful. Lab work came back quickly and was able to pick up medication at an affordable price. Highly recommended!

I love everything about this vet they are the best people you can ask for they are so loving to My dogs and I have been coming here since DR shores was there I am moving to cheifland FL and don't want to change vets I am having serious concerns about it as My Jack Russell dashound don't travel well but I can give her meds from her Dr thanks shores you are the best My dogs love you too I am going to continue coming there to you as I will never find a veterinarian Like you ever thanks for your love for animals

I was so impressed with the care I received here. I have brought both of my dogs here now on separate occasions and have been very pleased every time. They were very prompt and the tech came out immediately to help me. The first time I had to wait in my car and the second time I was allowed to come in with my mask. The vet and techs were so patient with me and listened to all of my concerns and asked the proper follow up questions. The vet was very thorough in his exam and took cost in mind when making recommendations. He also made my timid dogs feel at ease in the new environment. Will definitely be making this our usual vet now!

I have no idea what all the negative reviews are founded on. I have always been a loyal customer of Shores! Dr. Shores took care of my pets, as though they were his very own. The staff at Shores mirrored Dr. Shore's commitment to service, and the well being of my pets. I have only been to Shore's once since Dr. Shore's passing, as my pet crossed the Rainbow Bridge shortly after Dr. Shores passing. The staff made my beloved pet as comfortable as possible., and were very comforting, and understanding, as they explained that it would be best to put my :"son" down, it was hard, but thanks to the staff, it was less difficult to say good bye. I'm finally ready to get another son, or daughter, and Shores is the ONLY Vet Hospital, that my new member of the family will be seeing!

There is something amiss with Yelp. I posted my review and I had barely lifted my finger from the "post review" button when 9 down votes appeared. I know there were not 9 people familiar with Shores waiting for me to post my review and vote on it within one half of a second of my post. I agree with the person who posted above, ignore these negative reviews.

This vet clinic is shady as fck. They never have their records straight. I'll be looking at my last vet appointment sheet they printed out for me and then they'll be telling me something completely different and that I need to get all these shots. They always cause problems when trying to order meds online. Every time we call each person says something different. Always want to charge for extra shit so definitely read your bill before paying. They up charge all of the supplies they sell in the store. They have also given my dog three year rabies shots two years in a row. They didn't even ask permission to do this, they did it when they took her in the back. We were leaving and noticed they were charging us for another three year shot and when we asked they were like "oh oops, we'll take the charge off"...umm I'm more concerned that you double dosed my small dog ya dumb asses. They have also hassled other family members who go here. I do NOT recommend. We will be taking our services elsewhere.

Love this place! They are wonderful to our fur babies and treat them as their own. Love and respect are always given by all the staff. We always make an appointment and never have to wait. When we call for said appointment they always accommodate our schedule of day and times. xoxo

I LOVE SHORES. Here's why: 1. $46 x 12 months = $552 I use the most expensive plan that includes dental, vaccines and so much more. (My yearly vet bills come usually are more than that for me.) 2. My doggie has been to Dr LeClear and he is such a good doctor, friendly to animals and people (I trust any of the doctors.) Back in the day I used Dr. Shores, so when I moved to NW Gainesville again, I didn't hesitate to return. 3. Clean 4. Convenient, open on weekend, take walk ins 5. Teach you about good animal care at every visit 6. I have a Rat Terrier and they are very attentive to her needs while they care for her (super wiggly, anxious). 7. Phone call check ups after appointments. 8. I would rather pay a little every month and take her when she needs to go, instead of waiting until I save up. Last 2 visits added up to $600.00 but I just keep paying $46. What a relief.

Dr. LeClear at Shore's Animal Hospital is fantastic! His knowledge and skill alone are cause for an excellent review. But, it is his presence and capacity to tune into my son who is on the spectrum that motivated me to write this review. He answered ALL of my son's question questions, engaged him as a dog owner, and educated him about his dog and how to take care of him. I cannot communicate in words how grateful I am for his expertise and care.

I have 3 large dogs and during hurricane Irma - our house had no power and no water - it was extremely hot and the dogs were having a really difficult time with the heat. I called Shores Animal Hospital to see if they had power and could bring my dogs into some AC! They told me to come right in and I did. To say that the entire staff was professional and friendly is an understatement!!! These people love animals and are over and above kind. My dogs were given baths and had their nails done, the staff even let me stay in an empty room and use their wifi while I was waiting. I am pretty sure that every single employee hugged all three of my dogs at some point. Nothing better! Thank you forever to the staff!!!!

This place advertises for Ultrasounds for your pet BUT does NOT have a Lic. Ultrasound radiologist on the premises...The Vet. reads the films, who knows if they can even take them properly...I ended up repeating this test at UF. I should have gone there FIRST. save your money and time.

Vet was alright. Took a long time and was only a checkup so not much to say there. Boarding and grooming was terrible though. Dog was healthy and got kennel cough upon return. Up to date on shots too! Staff always asks for a tip which is awkward.
