3/10
my experience wasn’t horrible but not the best.
staff didn’t help me with anything until 5-6 days after i arrived (toiletries, blankets, sheets), being that i’m pregnant it was overwhelming for me because the children wasn’t supervised, even when they were they were being yelled & cursed at by a staff member..
the breakfast was nice & fulling, the showers broke my skin out & left rashes, dinner was leftovers that wasn’t finished the night prior but the church did come & prepare food.

I walked in to St Francis on dec 9th, 2024 petrified not knowing what was going to happen in my life, I lost everything due to a rough divorce! When I met Miss Sheyla, I knew immediately I was safe, she reassured me that everything was going to be okay. Our weekly meetings gave me the confidence I needed to get back on track, then came Mrs. Ameera giving me all the housing resources I needed to call, visit and follow up with, the team was amazing and helpful, couldn’t have done it without them. Mrs Tavia’s firm and strict ethics are what the residents need to have a successful story, can’t forget the advocates, each and one of them have made a difference in my life and I’m thankful, and to the back stage personal support I thank you for all your hard work and dedication to each and every case.
Today I am HOME full of gratitude, love and respect for each person that makes St. Francis a safe haven for clients like me.
For ever greatful,
Nency F.

At first the place was great but then some people decided to make up stuff about us haveing accidents and without the slightest bit of proof or investigation they kicked us out. Based on nothing but someone's say so. We tried to tell them we were innocent but they claimed because someone else said we're guilty we must be. We did our best to get along despite the fact nobody gets along with everyone all the time. Though it could quite loud at times due to the fact that nobody had indoor voices. Apparently with st francis if someone declared you guilty of something it the truth doesn't matter.

Was trying to help a homeless couple while in town. It seems that St Francis has really changed. There was no room and they had to leave the premises. Where are they to go especially with a sick child and the wife is pregnant?
They were finally dumped outside Alachua Cty so they are no longer responsible. So now they are farther away from any medical help for their child. Way TO GO ALACHUA COUNTY!!!

Bought a bunch of bags of mine and my child's to small clothes to donate and when I ring the buzzer nobody ever came to the door. Rang it 2 more times... still no answer. Sign next to door says don't leave donations by door or they will be thrown away.. How can I donate?
I don't wanna give them to a place that sells them for profit (like goodwill)

Place is nothing as it appears to be. No longer feed homeless or unsheltered as of April, 15 2024, UNLESS.. your are a resident. Unless you are a battered woman with a child / children, they won't talk to you, much less assist with resources available.

This Place is Real. The people that are employed at St.Francis are very thorough, detailed and proactive in getting Families what they need .My daughter made a leap of faith transition from South Florida to her New Resident. The Complex drop the ball a couple time within her application process that had her & the children in an awkward situation. Thanks God for Eric,Tavia & Carlton

No one calls you back I’ve called 3 times and left messages in regards to a friend that is missing and said they were going there for help. I’ve called the police and they will not help either. She’s pregnant and homeless needed help to get back to Indiana and one calls back. Not very helpful.

It is a place to help indigent people. Be comfortable with all kinds of people. It is limited to basic services necessary for people with few economic resources.
