Be extremely careful if you prepay at StorQuest.
They advertise their units as month to month, but the policy works only in their favor. Even if you prepay, they can increase the monthly rate at any time going forward. However, if you move out, they will not refund unused prepaid months.
In my case, I prepaid three months in advance. When I informed them that I was moving out, I was told I could close my account, but there would be no refund for the prepaid months. To be very clear, I am not asking for a refund for the current month or any time already used. I am asking for a refund for the future three months that I will not be using at all.
Those months will never be used, yet the money is simply forfeited.
When this was escalated, the manager provided the same robotic response: “This is our policy.” No explanation, no flexibility, no consideration of fairness.
This is not about the dollar amount. It is about principle. If pricing can change immediately going forward under a month to month agreement, then unused prepaid time should not be treated as non refundable when the service will not be used.
I was a long term customer, had rented larger units in the past, and always paid on time. None of that mattered.
If you rent here, do not prepay. Pay strictly month to month. Otherwise, if your plans change, you may lose advance payments even when the unit is not used.

I was in a bind. Kimberly greatly eased my anguish while summarily answering my storage questions. She sold me completely and was entirely available to help me. Showed me several units, until I found the one I needed.

Silas, was extremely helpful at the location on Archer street- we had a reservation at the other location on 1st street- we found out the location wasn’t open on Sunday like maps had said, so we were in a pickle! Silas was a professional and handled the situation perfectly. We are so greatful

If you need a storage space in Gainesville,FL you cannot do better than the Storquest at 2350 Archer Rd. They are friendly, clean, and secure. I had a large climate controlled storage space for three years. I would absolutely use them again in the future. They have many locations. Based on my experience I will look for a Storquest near me for any future storage needs.

Great experience! Completed my reservation online, when I got to the facility the manager was super helpful in showing me around and educating me on the procedures for getting around the property. She walked me right to my unit and ensured it was properly cleaned after the last tenant. She also showed me how to use the lock system since I had never used it previously. Super positive experience so far!
