Do not be dissuaded by the building, the outside looks a little run down. However, Tina, who runs this place, is the best hair stylist in Gainesville. I got a mens hair perm here and a haircut with layers and both turned out absolutely amazing. She listens carefully to your requests and provides excellent suggestions with her decades of experience. She also is a very kind and fun person to talk to. The prices are absolutely killer for the quality you get. There is no one else I trust more with my hair. Please give her a chance!

Tina did FABULOUS job cutting and highlighting/lowlighting my hair!! I have longer hair with layers and it is sooo hard to find someone that can cut it the way I like it but she NAILED IT!! I would personally recommend her with no hesitation whatsoever!!

I just want to say, I LOVE TINA! She is my favorite hair dresser in all of Gainesville. She knows what she is doing. I’ve been having her do my hair ever since I moved up to Gainesville 10 years ago. And yes I have tried many other places, for one reason or another. Such as availability, location of where I’m living at the time, or the hype of a new fancy place.
Well I always end up coming back to Tina at TOTAL IMAGE. This isn’t bash any other places I’ve gone. There’ve done a fine job for the most part.. but I haven’t felt myself the last year while I’ve been growing out my hair from my last cut (I know, prob too long to wait for a trim) but I finally got back in to see Tina today and I am SO HAPPY.
Point is, anyone looking for a hairdresser I recommend Tina at Total Image ☺️ I finally feel pretty today after looking blah for so long.

tina at total image cuts the best hair in town, period, full stop. of all the people i have had cut my hair, tina is the most thoughtful and skillful. she understands the needs of your hair intuitively from years of experience and cuts it thinking of how it will look a week from now, a month from now, and so on, in addition to how it looks as you leave the salon. she simply is an expert, the only expert stylist i have ever met, frankly, and if she ever stops cutting hair i will just let mine grow until it touches the ground and the friction wears it down. all my friends see her. she's simply magic. and affordable, which is outrageous given the quality of the cut. i cannot recommend her enough!

I just moved up to Gainesville from south Florida and was looking for a new hair salon and took a chance on total image salon. I’m so glad I did because my hair looks gorgeous and feels so healthy now. It’s such a cute and quirky shop, I loved the atmosphere! Just remember to bring cash or download zelle :)

I am from Pennsylvania and staying here during the winter. I looked up hair stylists and based on reviews I called Tina. Tina is a hoot and a delight! She also really knows her craft! I was pleasantly surprised at her knowledge and expertise. I will definitely work around my visits next year to have her do my hair. Yes, I’ve been to more sophisticated salons but the trade off for Tina’s abilities are worth it.

I absolutely loved the care Tina took with my hair! Went in for a wash and cut and she was very informed on cutting curly hair and dealing with damaged hair from bleach. Definitely reasonably priced and will be returning!

After two awful experiences in Ocala, my hairdresser in NY found Tina and Total Image Salon. Tina knows color! She fixed my yellow hair and brought back what I love. I will continue the trip to Gainesville for her expertise. I was ready to fly to NY

I have been going to Tina at Total Image Salon since I was a child. She has always done an amazing job cutting my hair, and her prices are unbeatable. I have visited a few other salons in Gainesville over the years, but I keep coming back to Total Image because Tina always cuts my hair exactly how I want it and will give suggestions if I ask. I went here twice in the past and had April for my haircuts but since she isn’t here anymore, I had mine done by Tina. They have the best prices I’ve seen and I always am satisfied with my haircuts after telling them what I like. Tina is really nice. As always, it's always a pleasure to come to see Tina. I've known her for 40 plus years. She's been my stylist for at least 20 yrs of that. She listens to what you want and proceeds to tell you if it will work for you or not. Always pleased with the outcome. I would say to call herald giver her a chance, you won't be disappointed.

Tina does a great job. My hair is exactly what I wanted. My partner also got hers cut and has a hard time finding someone who can cut curlier/thick texture and is very happy. Also the prices are amazing
