Asked if they accepted furniture for drop off- the woman answering the phone said it “would depend on what it is”. While I understand that stores of this kind need to ensure that they have enough space for whatever is being dropped off, brushing callers off with a non-answer is not appropriate. If you are looking to sell anything, don’t waste your time here. While I love supporting small businesses, customers and potential customers are doing something of a disservice (both to their communities, and to the businesses themselves), by not pointing out areas of improvement.

A special place. The owner duo are truly unique. They bring informed knowledge with customer expertise to a new standard. And, their dog, Lola, makes you feel welcome and happy. Make an effort to visit again and again.

I hate to leave a less-than-stellar review for any local independent business (and don't think I ever have), but knowing that folks often drive a far distance or plan a day around visiting a consignment store when there are so few around, this may help someone. The pros are that the items in this store are in very good condition and they acquire some beautiful pieces in pretty agreeable/varied styles. The cons are that the prices range from a bit high to surprisingly high and the owners don't seem that interested in selling anything (or maybe they think they can guess who will buy??). I came in twice and both times they ignored me while they talked to someone about their dogs.I brought it to their attention that the item I wanted to buy (that I had driven there specifically to buy after seeing it previously) was missing pieces that its label indicated went with it, and the woman briefly paused her conversation and told me that they were "probably back there somewhere" with no offer to help find them or adjust the price (which was high even for the complete piece which was chipped but downright silly for missing pieces). It was unclear to me whether she expected me to go searching for the pieces (six small ramekins...I had no hope of finding them) or leave. She didn't seem to notice when I headed for the door. Disappointing because I was looking for a seder plate for passover that night, not an item easy to come by in Gainesville and we made do without.I'd be sheepish to write this review knowing they will remember me and know I wrote it, but despite living in the neighborhood and planning to furnish an historic house this year, I'm confident I will not be returning.

If you are afraid of or allergic to dogs, beware. I walked in, was barked at by an unleashed dog, and walked right back out. It looks like they have a lot of cute stuff, so I'm disappointed that it's not a safe space for me.

Amazing customer service. We bought a large dresser today and were helped getting it out and getting it home. They really seemed like they would go out of their way to make our experience enjoyable. And great prices!

My spouse and I love Uniquities! Female owned store with the highest quality used furniture and home decor sold at fantastic prices. There's no place like it in Gainesville. Check it out!

Beautiful items but ridiculously expensive. Not sure how they stay in business. Ladies were nice too. Rating is simply based on prices

They have nice and unique items, mostly overpriced but some are well priced. Unfortunately, one of the managers behind the desk was unfriendly and unprofessional with me. I can't imagine I'll ever go back. I'm still puzzled about her behavior. Too bad because it's a nice store

I don't usually leave reviews, but I feel inclined to this time around. I was very excited to check this place out, as I have been looking to purchase furniture and decor for my new place. I prefer buying second hand and vintage items, especially from local businesses. So I was excited to finally visit the shop when I was back home in town visiting family. My mother and I went together. The two women (assuming they were the owners, since they were older) could not bother to greet us or even look up in our direction from their computers. We were in the shop for nearly 30 minutes and not once were we asked if we could be assisted. I've never felt so unwelcomed in a business before, particularly because my mother was treated with the same disregard, which is offensive. Even though the shop has tons of great stuff, I will not be visiting again. Maybe the owners shouldn't be rude to customers just because they may not look like your "ideal" customer.
